Let's sanity check some things: 1. What controller make & model? 2. What version are you on now? 3. What approach did you use?

I've seen this happen sometimes and the way to fix it has been to flash nuke and reinstall. :| What controller/board are you using?

this is so frustrating because i cant find an answer to this specific problem. anything on reddit usually turns out to be something like the person didnt hold start when they plugged it in so the web config isnt showing. my web config shows, shows my version, (Current: v0.7.7-5-gf220e54-dirty) dirty? does that mean its broken? lol idk. theres also no button like you have to "get latest version" unless thats just no longer there in these versions. so initially i can see the web config when i FIRST plug it in. i can even click settings and see other pages for a short time. im noticing now that its not working, on the version it says "undefined (undefined.uf2) so idk what the hell is going on. i just want to start over fresh with this thing ive used it for like a day.

Have you tried to update it to the latest 0.7.9 version with back boot button method?

@@such-ej i was able to do this just now, and it looks like i was able to update to 0.7.9, which is a new development, however, even tho its updated, i still cant configure anything in web config.

@@such-ej sorry for so many comments.... i just did the flash nuke, and THEN updated to newest firmware and that seems to have done it. my rgb lights are back on, i can see the buttons again in the little screen, so fingers crossed the web config works, but looks like that fixed it. couldnt have done it without this back boot method so thank you!!

These switches are more for leverless controllers that use the Kailh Choc v2 switch and not for existing buttons. You may want to look at Gamerfinger, Qanba Gravity, Sitong, or Seimitsu Alutimo.

@@Zevaeros I am going with sitong buttons and they have this switches on them thats why I was wondering if they are better than samduck buttons

Did you put your controller into webconfig mode first?

@@Zevaeros now my issue is my Xbox won't register it. I have it hooked up through the magic-s ultimate, which is updated. My update page for the board didn't have the "update to latest version" option, but either way, shouldn't it still work?

@@NeCoruption Do you have the Magic-S connected directly to your Xbox then your controller into the port there? I don't believe the Magic-S is supported on the USB-A port on the controller itself. If so, make sure you're in XInput mode on the controller.

@@Zevaeros yea, I do. I just now got the latest update on the pad too, and still not registering with my Xbox. I held the light on the flash until it was green, and I've held the button in the controller for xinput as well.

I don't have browns, sadly. Mostly I wanted to compare to the stock switches these usually come with.

Generally that happens if: 1. You're already up to date 2. You're on a platform that GP2040 doesn't know what to look for (or a beta version, etc.) For #1, there's nothing to do. For #2, you'll need to manually go to the releases page and download the correct variant for your controller.

To sanity check: When you go back into webconfig, are they still mapped? Just want to make sure those mappings were saved.

1. Unplug your M16+ 2. Use something to press the Bootsel button on the back and keep it held down 3. While holding down the button, plugin to a PC via USB-C port and wait about 5 seconds 4. You should now have the EFI-RP2 drive appear in file explorer. Let go of the bootsel button. 5. Download the current firmware and the flash nuke. 6. Copy the flash nuke file over to the EFI-RP2 drive; this will reset the controller to stock. 7. Copy the UT file for the H42/Cosmox variant of GP2040-CE over to the EFI-RP2 drive once it comes back.

Sure, see my video on updating to 0.7.8. You should be able to hold down your controller or board's boot button and plug in to get into bootsel mode.

Use the game settings to map those functions to a button (like L1, L2, or L3).

Are you using Windows, Mac, or Linux?

If your case has 39mm of clearance, it should work. Change to a Sanwa-compatible mounting plate and add the NT shaft extension as well.

The USB passthrough port (and some other add-ons) requires some pins to work and will cause the pin mapping screen to show these as unavailable when in use; this is normal behavior. What issue are you trying to solve? I'm a little confused.

When i choose Authentication Setting as "Host USB", my Pin0 and 1 which designated to Up and Back button completely doesn't work, but when i choose "None" as an Authentication Setting which i assume made my stick only works for 8 minutes before i need to plug it in again onto PS5, both of these buttons works like nothing happened, what i'm trying to solve is how to make my buttons work on "Host USB" Authentication Setting, like do i need an Add-on for it to work? Or it's just my board that's has some faulty stuff? Thank you for the response btw My stick still works perfectly fine but it's just that one issue that bothers me

You should have a physical boot button you can use to get into bootsel mode. Unplug, hold that button down, plug in your board/controller, then release. You should get the RPI-RP2 drive and you can follow the flatten & reinstall section (nuke, fresh flash).

@@Zevaeros tried that and didnt work...so i made a jump between GND and 12 pins, and booted with that, and it booted on webcojfig, then i loaded my backup mapping...just saying this if someone else has the same problem

So to sanity check: * Plugging the Wingman FGC into the PS5 and then your M16 into that works, but the touchpad button doesn't work when set to XInput mode * Plugging the Wingman FGC into the USB-A port on the M16 and setting it to PS5 mode doesn't work For the former, I'd try setting the M16 to use PS4 or DInput mode and see if one of those works. For the second case, go into webconfig, and verify it's set to use PS5 mode with Arcade Stick. Also make sure the PS passthrough mode is enabled. If you're worried about the FGC snapping or some such I recommend you get the Magicboots PS4; it's much more compact. Another option is getting a USB extension cable and attaching the FGC to that, I suppose.

Just use the standard Pico variant; I don't see a specific Furin/FRS one.

OK, let's sanity check: 1. Do you have a known good cable that supports data transfer? 2. Can you get into Bootsel mode (use the button method) and see the RPI-RP2 drive? If you can get the bootsel mode to work you can flash nuke and then use the 0.7.8 Haute42-COSMOX variant to flash.

the lights dont even turn on when I connect the cable but I hear the sound connecting to the pc

If your controller doesn't have a "specialized" firmware variant (like Open_Core0 or the Haute42/Cosmox) then you'll likely stick with the generic Pico variant. Go into webconfig and on the home page you should see what version and variant you have.

Website is a little behind; get GP2040-CE_0.7.8_Haute42COSMOX.uf2 from the releases page. I have a newer video on upgrading to 0.7.8 that is probably a little more detailed. The "dirty" version was included with shipped units and you can use the fast method to upgrade to 0.7.8.

I released a newer guide that goes into more detail for updating to 0.7.8; check that.

H42/Cosmox is putting out some new switches (one seems to be very Ghost-like), so watch for those. There's also the option to replace the springs with something lighter, though that takes some work.

It's basically a requirement that one of them shows up to threaten the viewer

It depends -- if you have buttons that are wired to a pin you can't change that aspect, you can only change what that pin does. For example, the Haute42 M16 has a full sized button that activates a pin (let's call it 23 because I forget which one it's on) but it has an option button that also is wired to that same pin. If you remap what that pin does (let's say you change it from R3 to Touchpad), both the smaller option button and the full sized button will change to Touchpad (there's no way to separate these). Does that make sense?

@Zevaeros Appreciate the help, mate! Yeah I see what you mean. I have a haute 42 t16 so I don't know if it's possible when you said it depends but I get what you mean. Just didn't want to press my down button and accidently jump :/
