I'm sorry so many books didn't work out for you last month, but glad you enjoyed Harry Potter. As far as the magic in the book, obviously you'll have to decide for yourself, but based on my understanding of the type of witchcraft people actually use or try to use, the magic in Harry Potter is very different. Rowling herself has even said that wiccans (and those who practice similar things) would not attend Hogwarts because their version of magic and the type we see at Hogwarts don't align at all. It is hard knowing where the line is for Christians, and each of us have to follow our own convictions, but I hope that helps a little!

I have seen other Christians talk about "fantasy magic" verse witchcraft. Though I will say everyone is convicted differently. I would go by what you are convicted by. I would definitely urge prayer about it.

I know what you mean about the witchcraft thing, like you said, further study and using discernment is probably a good idea! 😊 I'm sorry you had a bad mental health day, I hope you're feeling 'better' (I never know what to say for that as I know there isn't necessarily a better and that it varies!)!
