I loved The Last Bookshop in London and all of Madeline Martin’s WWII historical fiction. If you loved that try The Keeper of Hidden Books by her. It’s phenomenal.

@@CandlewickLibrary yeah, the lesbian reference and the rather passionate make out scene was a turn off. It’s sad because the storyline is SO good. :( I’m contemplating not continuing on either.

@@Jess-pagesandgrace I’m so glad you found a fav in it! Sadly it just didn’t quite hit for me. I enjoyed some of the quotes, Brodie’s character and Luke’s character. I guess I found the women in the book to be a bit much / maybe a bit annoying to me 🙈 I hate saying that but it’s how I felt/feel. I know so many people love it. It was just okay for me.

@@BookLoverAmanda haha that makes sense! & I haven’t read LOTR but I’ve watched the movies and so the quotes have been propelling me forward in the book lol 😂 it has made me giggle quite a few times but I guess I’m just finding myself wanting the letters to end and a regular narrative to start lol I’m committed to finishing it tho! I think when a book has such a cute or pretty cover I feel more of a pressure to like it for some reason 😂 maybe that’s just a me thing tho haha

I really liked authentically izzy! Near the end it switches to a regular style. and the third book, Loyally Luke, is told with only a couple text messages

Dangerous Beauty ❤ it was 5⭐️ for me & I personally loved the book… I guess I didn’t catch on to the sexual tension, which is weird cuz I’m sensitive to sexual content… I’ll have to go back and read it again… but I understand how it isn’t for everyone! Thank you for your honest review!!
