I had a mini-split install this summer in a 1200 SF building and it’s cut my winter heating by about 20% so far this winter. Everything is outside except the wall unit and we just left the old overhead unit in place. Easy and quick install. Love the savings!

Ken, This is just my opinion. I never liked Bachmann. I always knew that their sets were the cheapest I've ever seen. Their quality control sucks, and the rolling stock is the same. It's only a few years ago that Bachmann finally realized that if they want to stay in business, they better do a major overhaul. Again, this is my honest opinion I wouldn't want my worst enemy to purchase anything by Bachmann because of all the HO-Scale manufacturers in the world. Bachmann is at the bottom.

Ken, You remind me when I started back into model railroading. I too still have my Lionel whistle when I look at my trains. Also when I'm on the road and I know that a train is coming I deliberately slow down so I can be up front as the train goes by. So thank you for reliving my youthfulness. Sincerely Allan Martinez

Hi Ken, You're just like your brother. You believe in detail, and that's the way it should be. Ken, I live in St. Louis and on my property, I don't have any ledge stones. What is exactly a ledge stone, and is it available in small sizes? Remember, my layout is in O-Gauge, so it's in 1:48 scale. Thank you for your time Sincerely Allan Martinez

Ken, Does your wheel casters have locks on them so it doesn't roll around on you while you're working?
@allanmartinez11909 сағат бұрын
Hi Ken, My name is Allan. I just finished watching your brother Mike HO Series. Now, I'm going to wait for his updates to continue. In the meantime, since I saw the first episode of Mike and Ken talking trains, I would like to follow your series as well, if you don't mind. Already, I like what I saw. You did two things that I was pleased you went ahead with. You painted the entire table before you assembled it, and you also installed wheel casters on your legs so you can move the table around if you need to. I do have a question I would like to ask you. I've been told Is it necessary to drill pilot holes and then countersink the screws so the wood won't split? The reason I'm asking you this question is because you didn't mention in the video that you need to drill pilot holes and then countersink the screws. I wish you the best on your layout, and I can't wait to see a lot more of your work. BTW the layout that I'm planning on building is an O-Gauge Lionel Fastrack System Layout 3 total levels high. The reason I'm watching the both of you is so I can incorporate your skills to see if it will work on my O-Gauge Layout. Thank you for your time Sincerely Allan Martinez

Seems like you will need more tension on the "cable". That is an impressively long train for 1 engine.

Page 2 I forgot to mention that the manufacturer of the cable car was Lehman Toys, who make LGB, or Lehman Gross Bahn, large scale garden trains.

I love the toy museum tour. You mentioned the cable car toy,. I had one also, and used it until it fell apart, and couldn't be fixed. I found a new one online 2 years ago they are still available from the same manufacturer. The only change in 60 years the car is now made of plastic instead of tinplate. I'm really liking your videos, keep them coming.😊😊

Ken, for your smaller table layout, I would hinge it from a strong six inch wide shelf and store it vertically when not in use.
@Kens26523 сағат бұрын
That’s a pretty heavy table all that rock
@philtucker122422 сағат бұрын
@ yes when you first put the rock on there I knew it would make it heavy. Best always stick to paper mache or carve your own rocks from blocks of old expanded polystyrene from packing cases. All structures will need gluing down so that the table can be folded vertically.

As a youngster, about 5, my grandmother bought me a Lionel set for Christmas, the Texas Special. My dad mounted a 4x8 sheet of plywood to my bedroom wall, hinged to cover the bed. With the board down we ran the trains, then took off the cars and flipped it up for the night. I remember it like it was yesterday, or maybe like it was 68 years ago, what a good time.
