This is just an old proverb that reads this way. So it is safe to remember "kuru" as the reading of "来る"!

i noticed the radical しめす is also used in celebration!! i like how you point out radicals, it's really helpful 🙏 toppogi having moderate luck surprises me.. also, i was doing more research about the radical, and it also comes up with 示, is this also the same as 礻?

Hi Toppogi-san! Damn, you got lucky there! At least no more BAD LUCK! Anyways... EXTRA INFO TIME!!! So about「福」: 1: The kanji radicals, the first one, is of course,「示/礻」SHI, which means "god" or "to show" and 「畐」FUKU which means "to fill". So in this situation, you can say: "You've *shown* your for-*filling* *fortune*" 2: ふく isnt the only reading, it also has some other readings aswell: FUKU: 「祝福」"shokufuku" Which means blessing (celebrate + fortune) BUKU: 「民福」"minbuku" Which means national welfare ( population/nationality + fortune ) 「列福」"rebbuku" Which means beatification (idk what that is tbh) ( column + fortune ) 「子福者」"kobukusha" Which means a person blessed with many children ( child + fortune + profession/human being) PUKU 「天福」"tenpuku" Which means heavenly blessing (heaven + fortune ) 3: This kanji is has a frequency rate of 507 and is a Grade 3 kanji Anyway, thanks for the video!
