The Oddity was lame. The First Omen was more entertaining. Long Legs is interesting, but not what I’d say is “scary” like the critics said. But it’s a fun detective horror.

Just watched daddy’s head was pretty good a few creepy scenes kinda reminded me of the Babadook. Long legs was one of the best horror movies I’ve seen this year. Oddity had like one good scene I remember being pretty creeped out by it other then that wasn’t that good imo.

So I watched Smile 2 at a 4DX cinema and it was the most fun experiences in my life.

You can always tell when a jump scare is about to happen in Smile 2. I don't like jump scares so it helped prepare me

MADS was fantastic. And it actually was one take. They tried 5 times and got it on the 5th take. The crew had GoPros on to prove it. The director says a doc on them making it will come out soon.

I really disagree about your take on Smile 2. Smile 1 had a story, Smile 2 did not had a story. Smile 2 can be entertaining, but it wasn't a good movie. Just like you said: It was 'Jumpscare the movie'.

Alien romulus is definitely s tier. Use of music/sound just ramps up your heart beat up. Watch it again… Also justice for cuckoo, blink twice and in a violent nature. Definitely A tier / had a better story, acting and overall how it was made than lOnGlEgS. The only thing longlegs had going for it was the cinematography

You missed A Quiet Place: Day One, I Saw the TV Glow, Sting, Imaginary, Shelby Oaks, Night Swim and The Watchers. Some of those I hated, but maybe you would have a difference of opinion. haha

One thing I disagree with is smile 2 having better jump scares. There were too many for my liking and most were rather cheep. Smile one had some more unique jumps. IMO.

I feel like Alien should be B, it’s definitely not on par with Longlegs, Heretic, or Smile 2

Nice picks with Terrifier 3 and the Substance in S tier. Also I'd recommend the movie Frogman from this year if you enjoy found footage, I'd put that in A or B tier. Fun movie.

No Disrespect to The Terrified but i think the whole franchise is overatted as hell. The Substance was crazy, i liked it. I havent seen MADS and SMile 2 yet

In my opinion Smile 2 has the best opening scene of any movie of 2024. Incredibly well done.

I would put Longless up in the S tier section, haven’t seen Terrifier but I guess I’ll have to give it a chance. I do agree that 2024 has been a great year for the genre!
