It is refreshing to see modern schemes of airplanes modeled. When I was a kid, I liked to see things like Spitfires or Corsairs but it has been done to death. In 20 years, people will see this kind of scheme very similarly as something like the Christen Eagle scheme.

Great video. I’d like to pick your brains on how you’d put curved dihedral into that wing? I’m amazed the Mylar sheet conforms to the compound curves so well. Beautiful work.
@markoroolaid6 күн бұрын
Hi, You can curved dihedral into that wing, only if there are genuine molds. This is not possible with similar technology. Mylar does not stretch or bend like that

I so wanted this to be legit. He only made an airplane that looks like a Helio. The aircraft is missing so many key features that it is incapable of flying like the real McCoy. What a disappointment. Great use of a 3D printer though. I may have to consider that route instead of balsa.

Why do you use carbon powder to thicken the epoxy for the hinges over another, lighter filler? And what electric screw driver is that? Brilliant job on everything. One of the coolest builds I've been able to watch to date.
@markoroolaid8 күн бұрын
Hi, Powder with epoxy provides particularly good adhesion. Carbon powder creates a very fibrous epoxy. The electric screwdriver is a Miniware product
