Slightly taller tail fin and rudder? As in not enough lateral stability?

Building this now and looks great. Thank you. Have a question on wiring the 2812 LED Controller. I assume I have to solder some wires to the controller that plug into the receiver. Looking for a wiring diagram for the pwm, vbat, G, 5v. Help please cannot find it online. Thanks
@MarkoRoolaidКүн бұрын
I wired the controllers directly to the battery. Didn't use PWM. I had 4 leds and 3 controllers. Red, green and 2 white were connected to the 3rd controller. At first I thought I could control 4 different modes with the one controller, but I can't. In addition, do not connect led controllers directly to the receiver. ESC BEC does not allow such a high current requirement. I tested it myself and it didn't work
@AndyLazarisКүн бұрын
Ignore I figured out the wiring. Just not sure how I'm going to install since I glued up the fusilage already. Maybe extend the wires so they reach outside of the fusilage?
@AndyLazaris21 сағат бұрын
@@MarkoRoolaid Thanks for the reply. I didn't see your comment before my reply. I used a servo extension cable cut off the end. Soldered the black to ground. White to pwm and orange to 5v. Then plugged that into the receiver. It worked after binding to transmitter. The esc seems to get hot fast maybe this is what you mean by not connecting directly to the receiver. as soon as i pull out the plug from the led the esc cools down. Not sure how to wire directly to the battery since the battery goes to the ESC?
@MarkoRoolaid19 сағат бұрын
HI. You simply solder the red and black wires from the led controller connector to the ESC power connector. Matek controller works up to 2-6S. I didn't use PWM myself. Led controllers can also be set manually.

@MarkoRoolaid19 сағат бұрын

print the air frame in your favorite color, then the lack of color on the covering won't seem as bad. I actually like the clear. It gives more opportunities for interior lighting.

Hi marko can you write the measurements of the carbon components?
@zdog90210Күн бұрын
What I was able to determine from the CAD model is that you need six 3 mm carbon rods for the wing two 2 mm carbon rods for the push rods The front two servos to the rear control surfaces and then 1.5 mm carbon rods for the front electronics bulkhead and attaching of the rear tail pieces
@zdog90210Күн бұрын
The 3 mm carbon rods should be 1,000 mm long

Excellent Cub... nicely done... and thank you for the files. I have a P1S, no carbon for me. Could the carbon parts be printed in PLA? PETG? Would it be possible for you to post a couple of part weights? Maybe a fuselage or 2, a rib, a tail section or 2, landing gear, ski? Then I'll know I'm within range. For example, is Fus1 48g? Fus2 12g? Landing Gear 37g in CF? Landing Gear in PLA is 44g. PLA is heaver that CF?? And finally... do I see 5 1000mm x 3mm tubes and 2 cut 3mm tubes? 6 3mm tubes needed? and 2 1000mm x 1.5mm rods? Thanks.

The Hot Laminating film is an Interesting Solution but at @8:35 you set the Iron at about 115 degrees am I right or I'm seeing it wrong? How the PLA Didn't deform at the touch of the Covering Iron?
@MarkoRoolaid10 күн бұрын
Everything you see in the video is correct. Hot laminated film needs this heat. If you heat it for a long time, PLA AERO will definitely deform. But actually it is very easy to install, no need to worry about the temperature

Also if any one id wondering the tool being used at 8:35 to iron on the laminate sheet is a "Sealing Iron" that should give you results on AliExpress/Amazon/Ebay
