Thanks again for this review, im now a proud owner of the ultra centre in black oak , not the glossy fingerprint nightmare!!!. Only 2 days in but loving it paired with 4 x fein f502 and old mission sub. Couldn't justify £2k for the fein 8 inch centre.

I purchased the 16" on a 1k deal from monoprice. It's insane no way is it only 140lbs the shipping weight was 240lbs. Thought they messed up and sent a bigger one. Either way in my theater it shakes the entire house violently. The specs they give for recommended square feet is probably correct for 3000 square feet. I've only got about 650 square feet for the theater. Either way these are priced great for what you get. Wish it had an app mines behind a screen.

Wow thats insanely heavy.. Im sure you get effortless bass as you don't really need to crank up the volume much.. You probably have it behind an acoustically transparent screen. Question for you - Does that cause any kind of screen movement or vibration when all that air comes out of the ports?

@@starazure I don't see any movement from the screen or fabric from the bass. It's sort of unexpected based on the sound. I would almost expect at least the fabric to move. It's very acoustically transparent and stapled down so maybe that's why.

I recently bought this and I have a question. In this mouse, isn't there the red presentation buttons when it is flat or are those the older models?

It's just a red laser pointer (like the one you but to play with your cat). So will be useful to point at a projector screen to show something.

Don't drop this receiver, even in its box. Very thin PC Board and not built up to the standards of classic SONY Amps or Receivers. Want a great amp look for a TA-2625 or TA-F3A. Works of art inside and out.

I high-pass mine at 45Hz in my 10' X 13' room. They sound so spatial and the soundstage is huge! Plenty of bass- no sub needed. Music has great punch and energy. Check out 10cc " I'm Not In Love" at fairly high volume. MIND BLOWING!! The stereo imaging in incredible! At $499, these are a steal!

Sorry about the video. My newer ones should be better. Your speakers are too good for even for the SVS ultra center. The F502 goes as low as 30Hz. To match those in frequency response range the center channel needs to be around 8inch drivers and that's too big. The solution would be to let the subwoofer do the low frequency work by setting crossover in ypir receiver so your f502 don't try go go lower than 45 hz.

@@starazure thank you would you have a recommendation please. Im currently using a Meridian a500 floor standing speaker on its side!! (20 years old again!) But although my wife agrees it sounds good, "it looks ridiculous and it's not staying!" 🤭

@@adrianmichaelsmith To match what you have, I would suggest www.fyneaudio.com/product/f57sp-8/ www.fyneaudio.com/product/f500c/ (Their website recommends this to go with your F502) I have not listened to either one but specs look very good. KEFs are good in all price ranges. us.kef.com/products/r6-meta If I were you, I would get the f500c. The only issue I see with it is its 2 1/2 way and may not achieve the same level of separation between frequencies as a 3-way speaker. On the other hand, the Ultra center may fall short in performance and not be an ideal match for your F502. Depending on your location, I would check if you can free return so you can audition these at home. SVS for example offers a in home trial for 45 days so you could give it a try and I believe they even send you a free return label. Also fyne site shows Enjoy a demo at one of our many authorised UK stores.

Do you know if the new evolution version at £1000 is just a cosmetic upgrade over the £800 ultra or have you tried it and it is worth the 25% premium

The main advantages would be 4K120 and 8K60 plus 110W per channel. However at that price you should be able to get a better calibration than YPAO. Marantz Cinema 60 which on Marantz website is selling for Extra 25% on their site for Marantz Recertified. Take a look too see if that's something you are interested. A4A would be great but at that price I don't really love the calibration which is important unless you get a miniDSP and put in some work on your own calibration using REW software. Good luck

The update has fixed the screen issue I would say 70%. Screen is much vibrant once you update the settings but I hear you. It's not perfect !

Earc makes it so much easier. I just plugged the hdmi from my tv to the receiver and the remotes works to turn thing on and off. Earc is the best !

Nice review! I have a 25 year old Klipsch KSW-12 and it's about the same size enclosure but the performance is 1999 for sure, lol! Looking at RSL 10E for sure or 10S with the app. Both are getting rave reviews and no complaints it seems.

So, with the average crossover setting (5.1 setup) with a sub being about 80hz, I wonder how much of the dialog is supported by the woofers on this unit or any unit with the bigger woofers and one midrabge.

The cross over is not really abrupt at 80 hz although you set it there. There is a frequency range that both subs and speakers are active and work together. The bigger woofers on Ultra center do not contribute to a lot of base when you have decent subs but the main reason I use it is dialogue clarity.

I have the TSR-700 and I'm using a Klipsh 12" sub and B&W CC.6 center, DM602 L&R and DM601 surround L&R, all speakers from 1999 purchase but I am looking to replace the center channel and leaning hard towards the SVS Ultra Evolution Center Speaker. Bought Yamaha about 1.5 years ago after owning a Sony STR1080DN that I had for six months but did not like for HDTV room, music yes.

Hi, yea, some don't like when I say the truth about this overrated gimbal. I ended up getting a discontinued Manfrotto MVG300XM Modular Gimbal For $110 but never did a review as it's discontinued. It's better value and similar quality as this DJI. Hohem MT2 looks solid at that price. I wish I had money to buy and review everything 😕..

The speakers are not bad and good for watching KZbin videos or listening to podcasts and sports commentary etc. I would not use it for music as it lacks clarity and would be missing details of instruments. It has a decent bass as well.

Great video! Happy to subscribe. ETA for availability at this time is mid-July. Made in the U.S.A! Great company! Great manufacturer! In the price range of the 10E RSL Speedwoofer, hard to find anything better! Great for music, and good for movies. This may be the most overall accurate subwoofer you can find anywhere in it's price range/class. There are other subs that go much, much deeper. But, for what this subwoofer can do, is very accurate! These would be great to use in a line array. I use my subwoofers stacked (six pack) in my front stage. I am a strong believer that you need no less than two subwoofers to get good sub bass. I also own a couple of the JBL 550P subwoofers. I would recommend the RSL 10E subwoofer over the JBL 550P when the JBL 550P is NOT on sale. I would easily choose 2 JBL 550P when on sale for $189 each, over the RSL 10E Speedwoofer. I just checked... The JBL 550P is NOT on sell at this time from JBL in USA. These are very comparable. But, I feel the RSL is the better subwoofer of the two.

Also s24 heats up miserably, yesterday i was using pop up wimdows with split screen ( which i used to do with my s20fe5g as well) ,and image what ! The battery temperature literally reached 47.8 ( as per accubattery app) i mean ky s20fe5g never crossed 46 also their were many framedrops in s24 which never used to happen with my s20fe5g until i use it for more than 30 minutes.Also i had s23 before this and that never crossed 44 but this one is heating up too much ,cant wait for any upcoming sale offer to sale it
