What you said about short blade isn't true btw. They do not crit at all outside their jawstab/backstab. They are a fast attacking, lightweight weapon that costs nearly no endurance. And I don't have to deal with muscle strain, I didn't even before they nerfed it. From what I'm reading from Short Blunt players, they have a similar experience. Why not try a short blade playthrough on your channel?

The umbrella is one of my 4 absolute essential items in PZ! I NEVER leave my base without them. Crowbar, bandages, water bottle, and umbrella. Bonus points if I also carry another more effective meele weapon!

With the discomfort addition of build 42 the patching up clothes to make them stronger will be even more of a benefit as now you can't go around 24/7 wearing a shit ton of layers of Kevlar vests and leather jackets and firefighter pants

I'd rather they just roll back all the crafting changes, all of it I've tried in unstable just seems unnecessary in a game that already has too much busywork in it's gameloop. a majority of players that play zomboid will never see most of this crafting system.

I felt the entire time like "We listen and we don't judge" while watching. Except bandagdes and stiches.... and the "I'm here to lead!" Sir... half of the crew got run over by a truck. I'm not sure :D

I think something that would make the game interesting is more events not relating to the Zombies. Maybe a new disease spreads, maybe a flood wipes out parts of the map, maybe enemy groups start living nearby, maybe your house catches on fire and you have to find a new home.

The game would need to have some end game meta events that happen. Have a variety of challenges that force the user to adapt their play style. I already saw some great idea in the comments like, tornados, fish dying out to local disease, crops dying to disease, building collapse do to lack of maintenance, NPC with missions to do, etc. Some of these are events that you can solve local fish dying, you have to find the source of the disease and cleanse it or build a farm away from the infection source if cleansing it is too difficult. You could have other effects that happen should you let the infection fester though, making it a problem you must solve at some point or deal with lasting consequences. Or maybe a huge Horde of zombies comes through and you are forced to abandon the safe house and relocate for a few months, losing everything you couldn't take with you.... Zombie could even start to evolve and get stronger, tougher, faster. An evolving threat means an evolution in your tactics. I think having a rogue band of survivors come in and start looting a nearby area would be neat. You would have to deal with a hostile group looking to assault your base and take your stuff or maybe that took something that you need and you have to raid their base to get it. The events need to demand the user's attention and you may have multiple scenarios happening at one time, so you have to choose which you want to deal with first and what consequences you're willing to deal with as a result. The whole goal is to create hard decisions by dealing with consequences of allowing things to fester or go unchecked while you handle other problems. This will create the feeling of always needing to do something, a constant uphill struggle from start till you eventual death.

The random stories you can find in Zomboid are always fascinating to me. Not even ones that were programmed in, like empty camping sites or abandoned road work, just...zombies in various states that you find in buildings or out in the wild and you can infer all kinds of crazy things about what they were doing before they died. The moment with the violinist in the woods shows that this mod gives us just as many crazy stories. We are not the hero, not the main character, we are just one person in a world that goes on with or without us.

It took me 2 hours in game to catch one small fish with 2 hunger reduction:)) on another day i spent allday fishing try every bait but can't catch a single fish, here go my weight

I actually think muscle fatigue is a good thing. I've been trying to get my friend to play PZ seriously with me, but all he likes to do is run around and bludgeon zombies with guitars and other weird "weapons". Now, he'll just get tired and die and hopefully learn his lesson and actually help me organise a refuge, build a base, help me with laundry, cooking, cleaning etc.

What's the point of using other gun ?
