Enjoyed your tutorial. I plan to used my Acuquilt cutter to make this as I have a lot of yardage and a 5” die and I can make the 4 squares so very easily and I will not have the dog ears to square-up the 4.5” half square triangles. I sew enjoy this tool and your suggested layouts. Thank you! 😊👍

Found your channel a few weeks ago and I love it!!! I’ve been watching past tutorials and cannot watch them fast enough! The colors are just beautiful! And the patterns are so different and gorgeous. You have a wonderful eye for color and are so creative!! And I just realized I don’t hear the sewing machine when you sew like so many channels. With your calm and soothing voice, your tutorials are so relaxing. To help you get over those nested seams, I have found if I put my left fore finger just where those seams are after I remove the pin, sewing over those seams is easier. I put just enough pressure on the seams to hold the fabric in place. I hope this will help you. Keep quilting!! 😊 ❤️

Your shortcuts and tips to speed up the process are amazing! I notice that every time you get to a point where you pause the sewing, you stitch the needle into a little scrap of fabric. Why is that? (You've probably answered this before but I just started watching your videos so I don't know.) Thanks!

Also a great idea about cutting yardage for charm squares - those charm packs have become close to $12/each!!!

There are times when I end up purchasing one layer cake instead of several charm packs because I know that 4 charms make up one layer cake - and I dint mind the cutting😁.

I’ve stopped buying charm squares and just buy a layer cake as it works for both charm projects and layer cake projects but I still have a ton of charm packs that I need to use!

This is an amazing video! The possibilities seem endless, and I’m going to start by cutting my layer cakes into 5” squares to make several. My first will be like your final layout with the dark background. LOVELY!

That 2-ruler trick for the squares is really clever. I’m never confident that 2 1/2” is really the halfway point on a charm square, and with the second ruler you know. Bravo!

The creative part of me that loves making pretty things wants to make this in all of the layouts shown at the end. The lazy part of me is going "screw all that cutting, yo!" 😂
