Hey I’ve never been an inspector , I’ve barely been a builder .. but this is the first time I’ve heard caulking isn’t a fix for something!

I have asked the neighbors a few times if I could use their power and I’ve offered to pay them to I told them that the people were not home and that the breaker had tripped, and that was the truth

You basically have the heater on who sets their house for 78° if it's the same temp as outside your house is not going to cool down and why would you not turn the air down to see if it actually works does thermal images mean nothing when the air is set to 80° hot air rises the ceilings are going to be hot

Worst thing is, all this effort put in to avoid fixing it... Andnits a quick job to do it, and do it right. Wouldve taken less time, less effort and less money to just correct the issue.

Until executives start getting jail time for malicious fraud it will never change the culture at these companies. Honestly the companies should be made to pay for inspections on all of their homes now and be made to fix anything with a bonus for the inspector for what all they find. You'd never have these issues again

This is pretty nit-picky. You'd really have to be paying close attention to find some of this stuff,b it I'm pretty sure that's what the owner is paying for. Kind of like when i do an inspection on your car, i find every little thing wrong with it that I can, because thats what I was paid to do. These people are just made that they are losing business to someone that does more than a once over.

As a contractor and servicer of a few brands of higher end windows and doors…the vinyl industry has an inherent problem with design, not all but some with designs that mimic that shown, we avoid that type of sill design in spec and application…even the weep holes clog shortly after installation…there are better designs without that step or channel sill…don’t accept them they are just poor in most every aspect!

My understanding in Canada your not allowed solid Alluminum or any alluminum below #6. And anything above #10 copper is supposed to be stranded
