I mean there are so many plot holes in Superman, it is a bit nit picky of me to bring up the clothes. xD I was just thinking the other night how much it bothers me every time Superman lifts anything. If you put that level of force into a single point on any large structure it would absolutely destroy that object. Planes, submarines, buildings, they'd get wrecked by Superman level strength on a single point.
