Hello Harvey, great video, as always! I have this problem, the vent was working on Nr. 3 and 4, than on nr.4 only, and than stopped working completely... I bought new resistor, and connected it, but I didn't put it back in its"hole", before testing if it's working, and it is not working, I started the engine, nothing... Could it be the fuse, I didn't check that at all ... I was looking at the fuse diagram, but not sure which number it is... I didn't disconnect the battery... Is there a way to 'short connect ' the vent? Thanks!
@HatBoyHarvey13 сағат бұрын
There is a thermal fuse on the resister pack. Always disconnect the neg on bat first. Sorry not sure offhand which other fuse is involved without looking at wiring diagram, but it could easily be that.
@nenadpopovic685810 сағат бұрын
@HatBoyHarvey Thanks on fast reply Harvey! So, if I understood well, I should disconnectect the battery, and reconnect again, and check the fuse, and than, check the blower itself? Thanks again,!
@HatBoyHarvey10 сағат бұрын
@nenadpopovic6858 if the resister pack don't work, check all the fuse first. You should always disconnect the bat when doing anything electrical on the car. You said you disconnected it without disconnecting the battery, so It may be relevant here, maybe not. I would check all fuses first. Some on battery top also.

Hi Great review, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the DYU A1F Pro! I’m considering getting this bike and wanted to ask: does it actually have front fork suspension as advertised? How is the comfort level during rides, especially on uneven surfaces like cobblestones or rough pavement? Your feedback would really help me make a decision. Thanks in advance!
@HatBoyHarvey2 сағат бұрын
Hi, there is no suspension on the forks, unless they have now introduced that. Check the ad you read again. It does have a spring saddle though, which is pretty comfy. The bikes wheel size and no suspension means you will always feel a bumpy road, but I personally found it perfectly good enough on rough tracks, but it's no mountain bike and cobbles don't like this bike. Better comfort would be had on a larger wheeled bike. I found it's nice as a mini commuter bike for the back of the car with the ability to fold is very useful and easy to do. The bike is well made and cheap, so good value. Only down side for me is the power allowed in UK of only 250watts is a bit low and UK regs only allow the bike to go at 15MPH which for me is a little too slow. It is still fun though and saves the legs going to the corner shop. I liked the hand palm grips, lights, value and comfy saddle along with a quality feel. Hope this helps :-)

Excellent video, I'm glad you've posted this as we have to do this job on my son's Fabia VRS. That car has the 1.9 PD 130 engine - I think that's the same as yours but do you know if the INA kit you linked is the right one? Cheers and thanks for posting - I've been waiting for you to post this as you mentioned it in one of your earlier videos
@jackduckworth11004 күн бұрын
Your son’s VRS won’t have an ATD engine. Early VRS models had an ASZ engine, which switched to a BLT engine around 2005. The good news is that this INA kit should fit either of these. The Parts In Motion website shows this kit fits either. There are plenty of other websites that will allow you to put in your son’s reg number to cross check

@@jackduckworth1100 That's brilliant, thanks for taking the time to research and let me know, much appreciated.

Thanks, been wanting to get it done for a while, but couldn't find the time until now. The RS has a different engine number, but I think this kit fits the RS also, but don't hold me to that. The anomaly seems to be for very early standard models. There is a compatibility checker on Amazon. So start there, then check the parts next to the ones you take off. Easier said than done as that would mean you've committed with the car in bits in this case. Good luck, let me know how you get along :-)

As long as the pin goes in it should be ok, that torsion value can matter so ive heard so it is good to check what it is before you start really, i never bothered and the car feels sprightly enough.
@HatBoyHarvey4 күн бұрын
@@Izzy111R I thought it was good to show these pins can be tight, even when correctly located. My personal thought is that the pins overall diameter has increased due to chrome plating. Microns thicker than 6mm as a drill bit goes in a bit better. I'm wondering if dirt gets into the hole and a quick jet spray of something would clear it. Didn't try that though, next time I'll try that. Cars running better now :-)

Love your no nonsense videos mate 👍 and a nice easy guide for anyone to follow. Did you find the alloy engine mount bracket (bolted to the block) is a bit of a pain to put back in place? 😂
@HatBoyHarvey4 күн бұрын
You have just got to lift the engine sufficiently enough to get it in. I also found the engine flops back toward the bulkhead a bit restricting the alloy block from going back in, so had to re-lift engine holding it forward to rise more centrally. A little bit of a fiddle, yes, but moving the engine squarely is the key. It's a big engine in a small space, worse than a mini engine was, back in the day, in many respects.

The timing of this video is uncanny. I just bought something almost identical to this in Halfords but it's within 30 days so I'm tempted to return it. The only reason I'd consider returning it is because it's literally double the weight of your Sealey one. Lifting a 34 kg box into and out of a car is NO JOKE when you've got a dodgy back, so I might keep it after all esp as I paid only about £99 on promo. The usual price is £130. Sadly mine doesn't have a side carry handle.

Lovely jack. I'm using the basic 2 and 3 tonne steel Halfords ones but they fall short in some areas where i can see this jack excelling. The twin pistons cut a whole load of pumping, the weight and the rubber pad as standard. The Halfords ones don't even offer one as an accessory. The release being by the jack handle is way more convenient than having to locate and turn a little tab as well.

@@HatBoyHarvey Thank you for your reply. I can see that I was not clear with my question. You inserted two bolts on the tensioner: a bolt to insert the tensioner to the engine block (and it is torqued according to the values you provided above) and a bolt to insert the black pulley on the tensioner. How much did you torque the bolt that connects the pulley with the tensioner?
