See if you can take the back wheel off as easily as you can replace the 'throttle'! e.g. to change the tire or easily fix a puncture. Except, you can't - without a lot of difficultly, as it's hardwired!

I'm sure it is possible without too much bother, let see :-)

Hi Great review, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the DYU A1F Pro! I’m considering getting this bike and wanted to ask: does it actually have front fork suspension as advertised? How is the comfort level during rides, especially on uneven surfaces like cobblestones or rough pavement? Your feedback would really help me make a decision. Thanks in advance!

Hi, there is no suspension on the forks, unless they have now introduced that. Check the ad you read again. It does have a spring saddle though, which is pretty comfy. The bikes wheel size and no suspension means you will always feel a bumpy road, but I personally found it perfectly good enough on rough tracks, but it's no mountain bike and cobbles don't like this bike. Better comfort would be had on a larger wheeled bike. I found it's nice as a mini commuter bike for the back of the car with the ability to fold is very useful and easy to do. The bike is well made and cheap, so good value. Only down side for me is the power allowed in UK of only 250watts is a bit low and UK regs only allow the bike to go at 15MPH which for me is a little too slow. It is still fun though and saves the legs going to the corner shop. I liked the hand palm grips, lights, value and comfy saddle along with a quality feel. Hope this helps :-)

That's a great and honest enough review for a new bike and first use! However, really will need an update after a few months and then even more importantly after over a year when the 'warranty' is up; e.g. if you can then get parts and service' is the big main issue - or it's NOT going to be worth the money and hassle!?

Except also there's no key-fob and alarm on this one i.e. the 'PRO'; or this version of the 'PRO'; and where all the A1F adverts actually showed it having a key fob and alarm!; but then when you actually got one, it didn't! So much too easy for someone to simply disappear off with if you turn your back!

@@Richard_L_Y @Richard_L_Y Yes, you have a very good point, most are like mine as first impressions and we all buy bicycles to last. I should do that to help make a more informed choice before purchasing, but as a long running cycle owner including a Brompton fold up, it seems well made in comparison. The pedals are short which I mention in the video along with the seat tube getting marked with moving up & down. It also doesn't clip together when folded which I found annoying lifting it into my boot as it started to open up a bit. Yesterday I had a rear wheel puncture, but that was partly my fault riding over very rough mountain bike terrain with lowered tire pressure. I forgot to pump the tyre back up after lowering it to film those rear angle on bike shots. So I could do a video repairing the rear puncture as I'll have to take the rear wheel out to fix it :-(

@@Richard_L_Y Hmm, I'm confused about that one also, looks like they have abandoned the alarm now. To be honest that wouldn't stop or deter a thief these days at all, they come armed with angle grinders now. It's a big problem in London even in highly public areas they are so brazen stealing bikes whilst onlookers do nothing or are too scared to.

@@HatBoyHarvey Yes please do; I think that would be a first with none of the other A1F reviews covering it... or even mentioning same!
@Richard_L_Y3 ай бұрын
@@HatBoyHarvey True but only partly true I believe; i.e. there are many more opportunist thefts than planned one's with angle grinders... which are actually quite rare, according to some of the security lock reviews in the UK, including London, anyway I think...

Funny enough, my A1F PRO, so called, throttle, was also broken in the same way, on my Jan '24 obtained 'PRO'. Likely a case of overtightening and not caring, or having time to care, at their assembly factory. Well, they are almost production slaves, aren't they, with no such thing as a Trade Union, or any meaningful workers rights?

Congrats, you've Just made your bike illegal in the UK / EU i.e. a 'throttle' 'accelerator' is only legal as a walking aid, nothing else is allowed; however completely ridiculous; especially if you've a disability which makes peddling to be able to start off difficult or impossible.
