Good one again. The metal mesh was a great tip.
@HatBoyHarvey4 ай бұрын
Using steel mesh for added strength where needed works well on ABS plastics as you can't glue the stuff :-)

Loving that stainless reinforcement; clever.
@HatBoyHarvey4 ай бұрын
Without the reinforcement it wouldn't be strong enough to work well :-)

You've reminded me me that I've got the same on my VRS airbox. Done similar DIY repairs on motorbike bodywork. 👍🏻

Great idea to use the mesh. Useful tip. Thanks.
@HatBoyHarvey4 ай бұрын
The mesh has to be steel to form a strong bond, alloy will not :-)

Great Harvey! I used SPUER GLUE BUT ALL PLASTIC VERSION for ABS and polypropolene. Works well too. Prob not as strong as your repair though but OK and quick!

Thanks. In this situation It needed to have reasonable strength to hold down the filter firmly and square. I've used this technique a number of times with great success :-)

Fancy buying my Skoda Fabia Estate Elegance 2006 with 185k miles...? It has dull headlight plastic, the doors unlock eventually after a few attempts, the boot eventually lifts with the hand lift sensor thing finally accepting your finger nudge, and back seat plastic pull down clip has come out... A little project for you to film and restore?? MOT until 24 October 😁👍 £600 fine English pounds... 🎉🎉

What engine is it, colour and roughly your location.

@@HatBoyHarvey it's the 1.9pd 100 engine. Same colour as your other Skoda Fabia in this video and I'm based in Marsden, near Huddersfield 👍

Hi Harvey, brilliant video as always. Any chance youd be able to touch on other horn faults? Followed the previous horn video and have found that no power is getting to my horn, nor can i hear any relay.
@HatBoyHarvey4 ай бұрын
I believe there is a relay within the central electrical control unit under the dash, but it will be soldered onto the pcb. You could take the steering wheel off and have a look at the contacts there.

@@HatBoyHarvey Hi mate, thanks for the response. I was just watching your video on the airbag removal and am wondering which contacts I should be checking for the horn? Is it the coil springs and spigots? Thanks again
