It's nice to see how the legendary Downfall track is built up on the 707 and the mighty 303. Kudos to you, ducktronic. The original has some compression applied to it, probably due to stone age "mastering" prior to vinyl pressing but I also hear some random crowd noises on that original. It seems like Armando recorded Downfall live in the Chicago's Warehouse. Armando RIP.
@DuckTronic2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Juan! I could not hear a crowd yet. But there are many different releases of the song and therefore everything sounds a bit different. Depending on how it was digitized and how fast the record was played and so on. But for jamming it should be enough 👍😉

@@DuckTronic WBMX Chicago FM in full force. Thanks for your effort, Ducktronic, it's very much appreciated. It takes me all the way back to 1988 in the Warehouse on South Jefferson Street in the windy city. If I may be blunt, do a similar video on Land of Confusion with a Martin Luther King speech running in the background.

Brilliant work & judging from your other playlists an obvious ear for some of the original acid classics. I've spent years with precious little musical theory knowledge trying to dissect all production elements & complete arrangement for the following track that remains a strong favourite acid techno classic of mine from back in the early 90's (Unknown Structure - Helixcoid - 1993) Incidentally, it featured in almost all my DJ Sets back then despite the crazy tempo fluctuations throughout. It never failed to separate the hardcore from the foot tappers out on the dance floor. (Happy memories...) At the grand old age of 47 I have just treated myself to a TD-3 & RD-6 to willingly enter the rabbit hole of acid creation so to speak & It would be amazing if you could work your magic on this particular track helping me finally unpick it once & for all. Hopefully I'm not alone in my appreciation. Many Thanks & keep up the great work.

I can't give away my secrets. 😉 I put the track in the timeline of my DAW, then adjust the tempo, pick out one or more good parts and then go through each note step. The waveform shows you how long the notes are. 👍
