2 questions, 1:why did you use 'BALLS' for this and why the position 2:why have the devs thought of making ksp2 a 'dating sim' 😂

18:14 this is camera mod or normal ksp2?
@Kerman_von_BraunАй бұрын
Thats vanila, dont recall which camera mode this is exactly, but one of them allows you to move the camera to a random position in relation to your craft. Most of my cooler shoots were done with that cam mode

Nice mission! Working around the landing gear bugs only added to the video. I can't wait until KSP2 gets into a more stable state. Then I might actually consider purchasing.

Just Downloaded and flew this today. Really fun and beautiful craft! but yea, was definitely missing some rcs/control. Had a hard time keeping it retrograde during the landings. but it gets into orbit real smoothly!

Part of me wishes i watched this video for KSP2 For Science's "Under Pressure" mission (land and take off with 10 kerbals on Eve) before attempting it, part of me is also glad i just went for an over the top rocket design instead. Many more parts, and i definitely get the slideshow launch

bro my sstos keeps drifting when I try to takeoff or land, I tried with small, mid and big SSTOs with different wings and landing gears, that shit is driving me crazy
@Kerman_von_Braun3 ай бұрын
My 2 best guesses would be either not enough lateral stabilization, if it starts to drift at higher speeds. In which case, add a larger vertical stabilizer. Or, if it happens at slower speeds, then disable steering on rear landing gears.
@caiomac24772 ай бұрын
@@Kerman_von_Braun that helped me, thank you so much man, I added two vertical stabilizers just so I wouldnt have to make a huge single one, it killed all the drift! thankssssss bro

Have you remade this now that thermals are a thing? I believe wing thickness greatly affects their resistance to blowing up, and hydrogen tanks are very prone to blowing up...

I’m making a spaceplane eve lander, so what made you choose the vector over the dart for the deep atmospheric assent stage?
@Kerman_von_Braun3 ай бұрын
I got an eve space plane vid so you might want to check it out. For eve, i used a mixture of both darts and vectors. In theory, darts are superior, but, not having thrust vectoring on eve is rough. And for the shuttle, it has a big external fuel tank so it also needs a lot of thrust vectoring to stay on course.

SSTO's in Ksp 2 are so amazing!!! great video!! I just built a monster hydrogen SSTO with a drop tank and did a round trip. Tylo was mandatory for assist. Mine had two hydrogen engines and 12 whips. I like your builds! You'll prolly think my ssto looks rediculous cuz it kinda is...

Hey! I really enjoy your content. I understand that when this video was released, the game was not in a very good state. Now that For Science has been released and patched, are you still playing KSP2 on your own? Would you consider doing a series where you complete the For Science missions with your SSTOs?
@Kerman_von_Braun4 ай бұрын
Im sure i could incorporate science in a video, but not as the primary focus. That said, i havent played ksp in months.

Jool is such a perfect planetary system to practice everything in the rest of the game on a smaller scale. It’s kind of broken how many options you have just to capture in the system - you can aerocapture on jool itself or on laythe, or you can use gravity assists between different moons in the system to save hundreds or even thousands of m/s of delta-v, or you can opt to brute force a capture by burning fuel. It is the perfect system to practice gravity assists, you can treat it like a miniature solar system with jool as the star. The moons have good variety in appearance and physical characteristics from tiny rocky micromoons that are challenging to but easy to land on, to Laythe being basically a slightly scaled-back Kerbin. If you want to practice ANYTHING in KSP, the Jool system is easy to get to and is a great place to learn.
