Tammy, there is a book called, Radical Remission by Kelly A. Turner, PhD., about surviving cancer against all odds. There is another one by Dr. Neil Barnard about how to beat cancer. I truly hope you will choose to read them.. My Endometrial Cancer was diagnosed on Feb.14th, 2022, after being mis-diagnosed not once, but twice over a two year period, I was very close to death. Though, Vegetarian for almost all my life, I tweaked my diet to Plant- Based whole foods, organic whenever possible, high fiber, low fat, low protein, no sugar, processed foods or alcohol. I sprinkle crushed flax seed on my salads, use almond milk and eat only Ezekiel bread, because it is organic and made without flour using organic sprouted grains. I eat lots of berries, brocolli, and salads, avacados, and kiwi fruits. I use water from my Berkey, and have started riding my bike again. I also removed as many toxins from my environment as possible. I spend time in nature and live mindfully, and take supplements such as melatonin, Enzyme Q10, Multi-Vitamin, D3, C and others. My Oncologist is so impressed she has started eating Ezekiel bread too. I sometimes eat baked wild salmon with lemon, but for at least a year and a half, I ate no animal products of any kind. I also lost 40lbs, with more to go. My risk of recurrence is now only 3%, not bad, considering I am in my mid-seventies. Dr. Elise, my Angel Oncologist, has stretched out my check-ups to once every four months, and told me cancer is highly unlikely to come back. I hope my story provides hope to ladies going through a similar experience. I had vaginal vault brachytherapy which has left me with some nasty side effects, because my bladder and bowel were both toasted. Recently, I had both an Interstim implant as well as a pessary. Two weeks ago, I had botox as well, because. Interstim by itself did not make that much difference. Still not perfect, but enough to improve my quality of life. I am busy working on reinventing life to live as intentionally as possible, because every moment is precious. Sending you hugs and best wishes Tammy.
