The Tories and Labour haven’t had a unique idea in 20 years…this is why we’re where we are now. They don’t have to do anything much to fight for our votes because there are that many safe seats that 70% of the votes don’t have an impact on the outcome of an election thanks to our ridiculously undemocratic electoral system. As a result the quality of elected MPs has nose dived…just because many of them went to Private School…doesn’t make them intelligent. Conservatives enable Labour and vice versa. They know one or the other will win.

In America we have a similar phenomenon. It's driven not by quangos but rather by twisted interpretations in the US constitution, especially its 14th Amendment's "Equal Protection Clause." So, we conservative speak wistfully of bringing back the "Constitution in exile."

Hi David. The Tudor period is one of my favourite periods in history, the original BRexit / independence period. No worries for calling me vain and silly. You can’t really judge without knowing the full history. God bless.

Democracy is an illusion, there are no political parties, they’re all the same, just different coloured badges and “narratives” working to a planned agenda towards long term goals over decades, with planned in “rest periods” and controlled opposition to give the people a feeling of some inclusion 🤔 it’s all a LIE

Dear Dr Starkey: Thanks very much for this highly intriguing rundown on the political roots of contemporary woke-related, potentially lethal, widespread inanity. Not being of a particularly political bent oneself, but being born in England in 1972, and having hardly gone anywhere since, one can only concur with your isolation of the New Labour period 1997-2010 as the recent root cause for same i.e. the floodgates opened on a relentless and oppressive latent homosexual (English) male take on things leading to all manner of societal corruptions. Though maybe the ultimate roots of it all lie in a woman, Margaret Thatcher, rising to power here in England in 1979? You might want to consider the following theories too: 1. Dividing the world into pre- and post-1995 states I e. this watershed year (marking the beginning of World War 3, fought entirely on Main Street, using mobile phones as guns, comprising the wholly unregulated initial 'global' release of Viagra, mobile phones and Windows 95 upon a truly desperate world.); this current Aphasia pandemic proving the indisputable truth to same, thirty years down the line here in 2024. 2. A concomitant Main Street medical diagnosis, namely NSNL - neurologically sound, literate and numerate - terrifyingly, in April 2024, being more often than not a case of 'fail' rather than 'pass'. Yours faithfully John Moser

The whole concept of universal human rights is as Prof. Starkey alludes, the root cause of institutional racism.
