Des might be married to his fraternal twin Anderson cooper and their baby might be the best child cia prodigy. (Insert cool ass mandarin here)

This is Netflix worthy!!! Funny story I went to a late night show at the cellar a few years ago and saw Des live before I knew who he was and he was hilarious then. Rediscovered him through Hannah & now a huge fan!

This is like watching a grey haired Bill Burr. The similarity is uncanny - the mannerisms, the jokes, the hand gestures - all of it.

as a Chinese guy, I can confirm that all the jokes he hits about Chinese stereotypes are so fucking true. And his pronunciation of what the fuck in Chinese which is “我艹” is so fucking good… watching condensation drip as I write this comment

If you can add subtitle to your China TV show routine that'd be great.

Real life - I had a Black classmate in high school whose first name was, and I assume still is Desmond. We never called him Des though. Then decades later I was stationed and served with a Black guy whose last name is Bishop. So as my personal lived experience, it could very well be conceived as a "Black name". Side note, my uncle who was born in the 1930s, his first name is Arsenio. That side of my family is Chinese-Filipino...

The ‘caha pass’ bit you did during Covid was gold standard for me. When and where was that done? I can’t find it online anymore.. it may have been a reel a couple of years ago. Hope to see Des in Ireland sometime l..

Ok but is all the swearing really necessary bro? The jokes can still land without all that.

Awesome. I loved how you were willing to lose most of the audience when speaking Chinese, but knew you'd real them back in with the following jokes, ninja level skills. Great energy, great jokes, great rhythm, loved the whole set!
