I've watched nearly 2 dozen reviews from all the popular KZbinrs and I swear they are all over-hyping the new SG and RG. I haven't seen them or ridden them.. but I did see and sit on the 2023 CVO at Sturgis last year and I wasn't super impressed. I still feel like you're getting way more bang for your buck with an Indian Chieftain or Challenger. As for the Goldwing.. I refuse to ride one for fear that once you ride a wing.. you'll never go back. lol.

The goldwing is rad and I consider it the "wise man's" choice. But I still see the appeal to harley and Indian. Different personality and character depending what one digs. 💯🤘

My 15 year old victory vision has a power windshield heated everything stereo 106 ci engine and with a few mod has 115 HP and 120 torque all for what the wheels and exhaust cost on that CVO
@cbrippee
@cbrippee 3 ай бұрын
And my 14 Victory Cross Country has 115 and 115 and this is at the wheels, not the crank. However I did add a 501 cam , Lloydz Hi flo filter, and Maximus ECU dyno tune, however that only cost about 1800 dollars. The twin cam supsensions and handling at that time could not compare to my Victory nor the early M8s. I am not sure about Honda Goldwings doing well on the bagger circuit as the Road Glides and Challengers are reaching speeds above 170 mph. But I bet the Honda Techs given the same amount of money spent on the baggers developments could succeed. I have a friend that went to Harley dealership in Lousiana, maybe Shreveport area to buy a new Harley 2023 model Low Rider ST. With all included up charges for this and that and of course tax and title it came to 29,476 dollars. He walked away. So I bet once you buy this new CVO Road Glide as is, you will be looking at above 50k.

Allow me to chime in here with an update on the Buell Super Cruiser. 1,190 cc V - Twin developing 175 HP / 101 Pounds Feet Torque. MSRP: $25,000 - $30,000 Booking Fee: $50.00 120 million dollar pre-order which translates to 240,000 interested customers. Set for 2025 production - more “American made” than HD & Indian. Prototype will be available at “Big D” - Daytona Florida Bike Week, March 1 - 10. My money is on Buell!

You are spot on! Harley has the name, that's it. Guys that are into them will only buy them, no matter what. It doesn't matter how it performs. The thing that gets me is that at most Harley dealers, the salesman don't even ride motorcycles. Huntington Beach Harley is a prime example, they just hire high pressure sales guys that really know nothing about motorcycles in general. I love all bikes, Harley included, but they are overpriced and under performing compared to most other bikes, but they sound amazing! Always appreciate your opinion an honesty. Disregard the haters

Totally agree with you. That new CVO Road Glide st looks like the Indian...PERIOD! I have ridden a VTX1800 since they came out in 02, and when it came out it was THE big boy on the block for CC's. Just behind the VMax and the Valk in performance (straight line)....yeah it doesnt handle corners as well.....this is true.. And that bike was NO where near the price of these CVO's, Its just gotten insane.

Wow!! You vindicated my thoughts exactly. I test rode a new CVO ST and it reminded me of a Gold Wing more than a Harley. The power and handling is way more responsive than my 2019 CVO Road Glide. While I was riding it the first bike to come to my mind was the newest generation Gold Wing. I doubt that HD used the Gold Wing as an inspiration but it did surprise me. I guess I’m a sucker because I did trade.

I agree with the exposed carbon. Looks cheap and garbage to me like an unpainted piece of plastic. Especially with how nice the rest of the cvo paint jobs are. And the price for sure. Here in canada after you finish building it with the seat, bars, you'd need to make it decently comfortable, and the exhaust I couldn't live without changing, I'd be into it for over 60k. Maybe if I win the lottery. The goldwing might perform better but I just can't get over the looks. It will never not look like a bike a 70 year old rides to me.

Looks are subjective,....I don't own a GW, but I feel the new GW's look modern and sporty. On the other hand, the harleys look pretty much the same as they did 40 years ago. The average person off the street that is not into motorcycles would probably not notice much difference.

So did HD have the wisdom to copy the adjustable height windscreen of the Indian? Such a shame they didn't as it is a very good idea, I use the screen height adjustment all the time. Everyone wins if these different designers take the good features off the competition

I ride Indian and I see no single point of indin ripped off by Harley. The Harley RG (didn’t ride ST CVO) has nothing from the Indian and more power from the ST CVO isn’t a rip off of Indian either. The base engine, let alone the bigger engine have zero resemblance to the Indians, just a different engine in all character. The chassis, while architecture is stone-old over aged, they threw in all they had (not much in std. version) to keep up with Indian, and they kind of do, aside from the shorter dragging rear that is just plain sheit on bumps. HD’s bag Lid’s are flimsy and have always been and so Harley tries to narrow into Indian’s subpar cockpit covers with cheap plastic either, the cockpit digital display is a step ahead of Indian, but I wonder how practical it is in active use. So no rip-off of Indian, more so of the HD customers and while so a big improvement to the last model - a must buy in Harley Culture, certainly not for anyone who already has a big twin Indian bagger.

Denial, jelous, hate and lack of knowledge of what Harley is all about. Trying to sound fair, but deep inside another jelous and Harley hater. There's a reason why millions of fans and owners own HDs. Just like the Jeep Wranglers, can't compare them to anything. They have their own special place that nothing can even level with. It has nothing to do with how fast or slow...the spirit of it that no brands out there will never have. If you can't afford it, stick with other brands. Massive amount of loyal owners will still find a way to buy the brand. Harley is America. Accept it, admire it and continue the jelousy. It makes the brand even stronger. U.S. grown, king of baggers.....There's only one! Ooops that's actually for Wranglers lol.

People are talking about it quite often, like yeah, let there race Honda Goldwimg or BMW GTL and both Harley and Indian will be left in dust... Really ? They are both highly sofisticated race bikes ( whih have nearly nothing to do with serial bikes ) and which are doing only 4 sec a lap or so worse time than 1000cc Supersports. So do you think - in any race spec. - that Goldwing or BMW GTL would easilly beat even those Supersports, like would be faster than them ? I dont think so...
