Were you not afraid of any dangerous wildlife?
@karlsthailand8 күн бұрын
Not really. I’ve seen tigers in the wild here before but a long time ago (look at my early video about a tiger attack) but they’re so rare it’s not a real fear. I do respect wild elephants because you can’t argue with an angry elephant. On this trail the biggest danger is probably the snakes but on all honesty you rarely encounter them. Cheers

You made that lad's day when he recognized you Karl. Great reaction...That rock looked very sharp. I'm just recovering from a gash in my leg that exposed my shinbone so I know it doesn't take much to slice you open...It looks like it took you a bit longer than it would usually have done. Great work as usual.
@karlsthailand13 күн бұрын
It made my day too tbh. That rock is so sharp and there’s loads of it in Thailand, so easy to get a scrape or worse, glad to hear you’re recovering Mark. Yes, the crowds really slowed things down which I wouldn’t have minded if it hadn’t been for the sun. Cheers

Did Brian say "We came to play conkers"... 5555 That looks like serious hard work, but ultimately worth it for the views and yes that lady was definately prettier than you!. A shame there were quite so many others on the climb, but beggars can't be choosers when they open it so rarely. Another impressive vlog.
@karlsthailand16 күн бұрын
Conkers/conquer lol. It’s a great hike but there’s no doubt that the queues meant spending far more time waiting in the sun than would have been ideal. Some of the ladies on that hike were a bit distracting tbh. Cheers

That wasn't a hike up a hill that was mountaineering going up mount Everest, but what a view I bet you where knackered when you climbed down 🥵🥵🥵 but i can guarantee the cold doctor Leo's did the trick.

Drives me crazy being able to look at the mountain from my patio knowing I’ll never make it up there. But after watching this I’m glad I gave up on the stair section. My knees just wouldn’t have made that. Really enjoyed seeing what I’m missing out on though. Thanks. I’ll have to settle for the stunning view from my patio. Pretty nice consolation prize, I love Prachuap Khiri khan, couldn’t have settled in a better place. IMHO

Thanks Karl, that was a really good video, very entertaining and watched it all the way through. Makes me think of doing something beyond videoing my food! The traffic problems I would normally think of, on a bank holiday, would be in cars though! Need a lie down after that lol!

Looks like they need to restrict the numbers going up per hour. That could be dangerous if someone was to fall. I would join the others in saying great video, but its what we've come to expect from you now. So much better than the walking the streets of pattaya
@karlsthailand16 күн бұрын
Yes Tim. Previously you had to pre-register for the hike but now you can just register on the day making it more accessible. I suspect that’s why it was so crowded. Unfortunately the algorithm seems to reward the Soi walkers, soy boys and dizzy couples lol. Cheers
