I am so fed up with mental health scams. This really has to stop. Shame, do not recommend this channel. Unfortunately they pop up like roaches faster than you can say lawsuit. Here's another one: The Vancouver island crisis line is advertised as a crisis and suicide support service, however in their tos (terms of service) it clearly states that they are absolutely NOT qualified to be providing crisis support services. It also states that they may share information collected with "3rd party's" under "quality assurance". While very disturbing that a crisis support service which clearly isn't qualified to provide crisis support services can even exist, the fact that the only reference / link anywhere to their terms of service is in fine print at the bottom of their website and absolutely not mentioned at all anywhere if texting or calling and not on their business card or anywhere else on their website is completely illegal. I believe this is a clear violation of sharing information without consent, misleading the public with false and contradictory advertising and most seriously by grossly violating the health and safety of vulnerable at risk people by not making it clear that it is not a safe or qualified crisis and suicide support service. I personally was completely unaware that they even had a tos until after using their service several times and absolutely do not agree to it. As a concerned Canadian I highly recommend a full investigation into the Vancouver island crisis line.
