It’s a nice car, I had one for 19 years. Why make a joke of a review?

My first car in 1965 was a 1949 MG TC. Like this one she was red. She also was one on a handful which was exported to the USA by the factory. The car identification plaque mount in the engine bay after the car's number states EXP which designates she was a factory export. I owned her in Southern California and paid the pocket busting (for me at the time) $1,200. I am forever grateful to Pete Clark who saw a raw and inexperienced lad, took him under his wing, and not only sold him the car but let him make payments. I've own a bunch of sports cars since then including Porsches, Jaguars and Ferraris, but none on them have the same place in my heart as my TC.

1945 Mercury Dime Value. According to the NGC Price Guide, as of July 2024, a Mercury Dime from 1945 in circulated condition is worth between $3.25 and $5.75. with the job you did on your MGA I am sure your TC will be a master piece.

SAAB? Tatra? FYI, Chevrolet made 1.8 million Corvairs (nearly 10k of which were turbocharged, a decade before Porsche did it). So, the rear engine Porsche was not "the only one", just sayin'. Still love this old 911, though.

Awesome video, for any guys who want a classic Porsche but can't afford one, highly recommend a Datsun 240z-280z as an option. As close as you can get to owning a classic Porsche but for a lot less money.

My first car was a 58 MGA coupe. Would not start when below 32F or 0C at all not even rolling down a steep driveway into a 600foot downsloap street. I replaced the gizmo pull stater swith with a Ford solinoid and a crome push button MOPAR part from 52 I bought at a Sears and it would start no matter the weather. My second car was a 65 MGB roadster I had for 3 years though it spent half the time in garage waiting for parts. Still, I wish I still had both.

I really like the gunmetal blue, that looks great. An MG A was my first car. My father and I bought a 1959, that was a hulk. We spent the next year completely rebuilding it. When it was time to paint the car, my mom said to paint it anything except green, she then spent hours picking a color, a creamy beige. The body shop owner was a friend of the family, so he showed me how to prep the car for painting. In the shop the owner had just painted a car British racing green. At the last minute dad, told the guy to paint it Britsh racing green. My mother was LIVID.

Great video of a great car. At 8:45, "a massive engine (hanging entirely from the back)"... you may be the first person to describe a 2.2 L engine as massive, lol. So glad the owner takes it driving and gets it dirty, these cars love to be driven.

i'm not much of a "sound" guy when it comes to cars. especially where volume is concerned. but the flat six in my porsche is without doubt the best sounding car in my small collection... including the v8 in my aston and the twin overhead cam straight six in my vintage jag.

I have owned 4 911's in my life starting with a 70 911T that I bought for 7k in 1983. I moved up the 911SC bracket and now own a 1983 SC Cab and a 2006 997 C4S. You guys remind me of me back in the day growing up in LA and driving my 911T in the foothills of Hollywood and many romantic interludes as well. Really good times, and this fabulous video brought me back to my youth of a 20 ish young man in flight school, chasing my dreams. You guys are so lucky to be living in this time period where you can share this cool car with the world as well as great backgrounds of my beloved Los Angeles. I am still driving my cars and will soon be back in LA driving the B roads. Be safe, have fun, and continue to be adventure inclined. You friends at Reel T Rides...
