At first I was really interested to see how this speedrun goes. And then I realized it was a glitched run, which sucks but still might be cool to watch... and then he died and I was like, nah this isn't legit. Might as well be speedrunning with a mod that lets you spawn in a Neptune right after you crash. Anyone know who has the record for fastest run of the actual game?

When i first beat this game (I think i got close but stopped and watched a youtuber beat it) It actually kind of pissed me off when the PDA said that before i could land i had to pay 1 TRILLION CREDITS all because i had to survive on an alien planet with nothing and like i was just supposed to sit there and starve to death and just hope to god they come get me. Like i just got through a really rough time and had to use what i had around me to survive and they're still charging me?? Bruh moment. Edit: I'd literally just go back and live with my Cuddle Fish forever.

This playthrough is a really good example of why i dont consider any%'s legitimate speedruns. When he deconstructs and reconstructs the moonpool for free resources because its glitched, how is this amt different from an infinite resource cheat code or creative menu, and if that's the case why are those things not allowed? because it delegitimizes the run.

I have never been so thoroughly impressed and confused at the same time. I bought this game in early development in 2015 back when you could still dig the sand and make a terraformer (rest in peace). With every single update I played the hell out of it, exploring as much of the new content and dying to as many things as I could. Yet you've managed to completely blow my mind. I had no clue how far these runs had come. Absolutely incredible.

Speedrunners are the only players I can think of that will die intentionally in the first two minutes of a game.

Wow. I didn't know beating the game in under 30 mins meant you didn't have to get half the pieces you need to complete it. Like the neptune rocket pieces or the launch pad. Or dieing constantly to get respawned with all your items back at your own base. Impressive...I think not. Give me a video that you actually play the entire game, without dieing and actually collecting all pieces and not snipping a video together and not showing in REAL time how long it took you to get these pieces IN UNDER 30. Then you will get props. 😂😅😂
