ahhh I see that all the way back in 95 they were thinking of the overlong attack animations that would "grace" the psx era.

I understand this movie isn’t perfect but you must understand that this was during a time when the lore to the Mario series was more simpler. This was made a year after SMB was released and the lore was more compact and simple compared to present lore.

This looked somehow way better than the Zoltar tech demo released in 2001 for cutting edge PCs. Another proof that the PS2 is an underrated beast and that optimization would always surprass more powerful hardware.

There are a few observable differences, like the War Bat's sprite being completely different (the one in the Sample ROM is the finalized one), and the Four Noble Devils BGM having some differences (I believe it's like that in the Sample ROM too).

Run ANY video through a Jap filter and it is guaranteed to be at least 5x weirder.
