Beautiful car I had a chevelle it was a blue car.🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍 the music doesn’t go good with this video. I am not a rock fan. You should play some Warren G Snoop Dogg some east coast rap also. Thank you

I typically choose music that is in the same era as the car, but in this instance, the lopey chop of the engine sounds exactly like the opening drum part of Van Halen‘s Hot for Teacher, which is why I used that song. I personally think it fits perfectly. I’ve always loved Chevelle‘s! They are beautiful cars!

if you cannot find end caps for front wings and they are rare is it worth gettin a price on having some made on a 3d printer, i know it will be made outa plastic but if you cannot find them and they are expensive could be a option, also depending on price maybe sell a few, once painted nobody will know, all the best from the UK
@DownSouthRustyClassicsАй бұрын
Thanks! If I had a 3-D printer, it is definitely something I would look into. I’ve thought about getting one before for other things. I believe the repair I did on it is pretty strong and shouldn’t break so I am happy with it even though it’s not perfect.

Well, unfortunately we ended up selling it. We’ve regretted it ever since. We’ve got several other cars that we’re working on now, but I’ve got my eyes peeled for another MGBGT and if I’m lucky enough to grab another one up, I won’t be selling it this time.

Back in the 70s my brother and I messed with MGs and Triumphs. We found out that Ford tractors used Lucas systems back then. We would take a Lucas part to the tractor place and ask for a replacement. When they asked us what tractor it came from we plead ignorance. They looked and found the part every time. It was both local and much cheaper than the dealerships.
@DownSouthRustyClassics2 ай бұрын
That’s good to know! I wonder if they still stock those kind of parts? 🤔
@Guy-rn3db2 ай бұрын
Probably find them at an online antique tractor site. Probably cheaper than a site for car parts

Car looked solid from the top down.....lots of surface rust View from the inside shows that it is definitely not, but Still a lot more of it remains then if it were a car (bucket of dust) that was still in England
@DownSouthRustyClassics4 ай бұрын
Yeah, unfortunately the bottom side of it is completely rusted out, the floorboards have completely fallen out of it, and the sills are almost gone. It could be fixed, but simply would not be worth all of the time and effort. That is something that I will be putting the time and effort into on my Triumph GT6 though, since it is a much more rare car.

I’m thinking maybe that auto parts/junkyard that is stenciled on the side of it is probably who made it, but not sure as I couldn’t find much about them on the Internet, so I’m assuming they are out of business. I would love to get my hands on that Lincoln and restore it, but that may prove to be difficult. Thanks!!

It's just great to see that you have your boys involved with your restoration. So tired of seeing kids doing nothing but video games and Techtonics. Keep them close and give them a work-a-day education. Every boy needs to know how to keep his RIDE on the road or at least have an idea what went wrong. Keep up with the wonderful work with your kids. That is the best of it all.
