I'm a little confused about the midi change selection, if i want the drums from midi channel 10 than how do i choose that, do you get i mean, do i choose channel 10 for drums on row B and just use the top 8 as the other channels. in essense i could run 1 line of synth sounds and 1 line of midi command from the Sq1 to Gaia using soft thru and still using the Gaia to play over the top. Have you done a series of these super informative clips of tidbit information

A quick question or two.. I'm thinking of getting an SQ-1, and possibly a second one eventually, am i correct in thinking if you wanted to use two SQ-1's you could sync their timing by connecting the SYNC "out" from one into the SYNC "in" on the second one?, I would be using Midi, but would want both SQ-1's to be synced together to create two independent 16 step sequences., and would pressing start on the one sending sync start the other one?.. oh and I've sub'd your channel!

I have a Lekato looper which is a good looper and the one I started on. I then went to extremes and got the Boss RC300. If you want to record multiple tracks or perhaps separate loops for verse, chorus, bridge then it’s brilliant. For the most part I only need one track but still found myself using the Boss beast simply because I could turn the loop off with a single click. (I hope my use of the word click doesn’t bring back too many unpleasant memories) Your video has helped me decide that I will get the Rowin. Thank you for your review.

I have the boss 300 one, and it’s great, but it’s like having a second pedal board. I only paid $10 for the twin looper, so I’m sure I can use it. Reverse is fun, even on my digitech xp 300!

Yeah, for sure, for a cheap pedal it’s all about having fun and making some weird sounds. I think people are overthinking this pedal a little bit! Loop sounds, mess them up. Totally worth it!

Are you able to record additional loops at normal pitch after altering the speed or switching to reverse? This would be a useful feature if possible. My ehx 16 second delay does this. Edit: unfortunately the answer is no.

I have a Digitech JamMan Stereo looper that is the bigger version of the same looper you didn't like, and has the same issues you didn't like. It also has a reverse feature; a thing you did like, and I like that too. It does not have a way to adjust the tempo (not really a priority for me) or anything to do with effects. The built-in rhythm machine? Ugh. I never turn the volume up. I could safely pry the volume knob off, cut off the stem, and weld a piece of metal over the hole where the knob was. Now, the clicky pedal: most of the time the sound of tapping the loop/play/stop pedal doesn't bother me, because most of the time I record loops from keyboards or guitar without a microphone, so the looper doesn't capture the click sound. But once in a while, I want to loop something acoustic and use a mic, so I did a simple modification. I cut some thin bits of 1/2" diameter foam pipe insulation to make little pads that go over the stomp buttons and soften the click sound. It took some trial and error to get these bits of insulation thick enough to damp the click, but not so thick that they make the stomp buttons hard to click. Anyway, I'm looking at other loopers again because I made a major mistake: I watched Reggie Watts do live looping, and he's SO GOOD. Reggie uses a looper with multiple channels. It lets him create arrangements by making loops that can be faded in and out, and mixed (live) in different ways. He often only uses his voice to make entire pieces. Of course, Reggie Watts has an amazing voice, and a nice Nord keyboard for backup in case he gets a sore throat or something. Loopers with multiple loop channels are few and expensive, but I know that's what I want from my next looper. Um, and a nice Nord keyboard, and a four-octave vocal range, and great hair. Until then, at least I have my sense of humor.

I've had one of these for a few years and still use it every week. I knew about changing the resolution in the global parameters and today I came across this gem of a document on the korg website which explains the other parameters. When I connect the SQ-1 via SYNC to the volca, monotribe, or electribe, the sequencers do not advance at the same speed. The SQ-1 lets you change the sequencer's step resolution. If the step resolution does not match the device that is connected via SYNC, the sequencers will not play in synchronization. In global parameter setting mode, adjust the position of the SEQUENCER MODE selector to the appropriate step resolution as follows. • “WW” ALTERNATE: quarter note / SYNC X2 • “Z” ORDER: 8th note / SYNC X2 • “<=>“ PARALLEL TURN: 16th note / SYNC X2 • “=>“ PARALLEL ORDER: quarter note / SYNC X1 • “=>“ CV DUTY: 8th note / SYNC X1 • “=>“ CV SLIDE: 16th note / SYNC X1 • CV/DUTY RANDOM: unavailable • RANDOM: unavailable * SYNC X2 = 1 sync clock advances 2 steps / SYNC x1 = 1 sync clock advances 1 step This is the link to the document i.korg.com/uploads/Support/USA_SQ1_FAQ_Tips.pdf Hope that helps

I have 5 Digitech JamMan Solos. They're the best in my opinion. One needs to really know how to use them properly. They can loop for 10 minutes as to where most loopers will only record up to one or two minutes. I also like that I can save my loops. 198 of them!

Thanks so much!! Now I also know I CAN set midi channels on the Reface. I want to do a setup of the CP and the yc and also a Novation mininova, which all should be connected via a midi through Box so they´re playable by a masterkeyboard with bigger keys. No Computer. The central Station is a Tascam Model 12. Do you think that´ll work? Even with the possibility to switch between the three between or even in songs?
