My Mother always made it all the time. We were 7 kids, she used it as a filler for Spanish Rice! Red chili for Enchiladas! Or as a Caldo. Which is Soup. Last but not least Broth, when we were sick. ❤ It is surely a must to have in the kitchen recipes!

Other than a possible darker color, it doesn’t affect the taste in empirical testing. But do it if you prefer.

Cud we make this in a normal pressure cooker? If so, for how many whistles?

@@Honestandtasty how about the flame for the normal cooker…..shud it be on low or shud it be on high?
@Honestandtasty2 ай бұрын
I’d go with what you normally would do for meat in your pressure cooker but for a shorter duration. I’d do 1.5 hours instead of 2. Traditional pressure cookers are usually even higher pressure than instant pots
@Honestandtasty2 ай бұрын
If you need more time to melt the cartilage after 1.5 hours then just continue the process a little longer.

Your videos inspired me to finally buy an insta pot and my wife and I made some bone broth for the first time yesterday. We’re going to drink 2 cups every day for the rest of our life. Can’t wait to see how healthy we can get over time. I really believe in this. Thank you so much

Hi I need a bone broth for my Gut healing, I'm suffering with Chronic Gastritis. Someone managed to heal chronic gastritis by drinking a lot of bone broth. I have question what instant pot are you using, in a matter of size instant pot 6l or 9l ?

Mine’s the 8qt Instant Pot but use whatever size you want!

What’s better? Chicken bone broth or Botox? 😂
@youarelife34372 ай бұрын
Wow you are uploading again. Chicken Bone Broth was the reason I watched your channel most😂😁Edit - wow this video is dejavu all over again. I use a spice powder called Jeeravan which is very less known but in central India we use it sometimes. Very smart of you to avoid those soys with phytoestrogens. I avoid soy too. Bone broth is supposed to do the opposite of what those soy induced phytoestrogens do to the body. Bone broth is great and is supposed to heal muscles joints and bones. Soy will decay the body faster ad there's so much misinfo. Great job on this research.
@Honestandtasty2 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! Yes, soy is in so much of our food, unfortunately! I do my research because I have no other choice 😂❤

Do we drink the fat that forms on top also
@Honestandtasty4 ай бұрын
Of course! It’s full of fat-soluble vitamins and is a very important part of the broth! I would never get rid of it :) You can also use some of it as a cooking fat! Just skim some of the fat off the top and add to a sauté pan before cooking veggies or meat!

I don’t advise this because we don’t need excess calcium. You get plenty from the recipe already. Excess calcium is damaging, keep in mind.
