All you need to do is stop your medication. Stop taking toxic chemicals and supporting big pharma. Natural is best. Don't let them mess with your brain.

I'm on cobenfy. It's the best anti psychotic I've used. Excellent with both positive and negative symptoms. No blunting! There are some very annoying side effects, gi issues being the worst. On average I think it's worth it.

Don't worry, I feel the same way as you. There is lots of people feel the way you do out in society. We are all over the place. I don't work and also have no motivation to do anything, but want to. I got a dog to help me out with my mental health and get me off my ass. It's hard but I keep trying. Just want to say thanks for your video's. They also help me out. Top of the World To You. Keep it Up Big Guy.

I have hyperacuity: sound sensitivity. I am curious to know if you had your hyperacuity before the onset of the schizophrenic disease or it appeared with the disease, hyperacuity that is? I wonder whether sound hyperacuity can come and go or the other way round?

Thank you for asking and sharing. I did not have any sound sensitivity before the onset of my schizophrenia.

Did you try long fasting? I read the paper "Controlled fasting treatment of schizophrenia" and I think it can be good to think about trying it out
@vivavoy4 күн бұрын
A guy from "Vox Sua Non" KZbin channel claims that has beaten his terrible voices with fasting though I think such an approach is most problematic because he went off his meds. Nevertheless he claims he has his condition under control. I don't have schizophrenia but I was looking for self healing practices and his approach seemed convincing. Plus everything is on his tiny channel for free to watch.
@pau19764 күн бұрын
@vivavoy I don't have schizophrenia either. I am fasting to clear my mind. It is a long fasting though. 30 days the average and 42 days worst case scenario. Probably medical supervision is compulsory.
@vivavoy4 күн бұрын
@@pau1976 yes, the vox Sua non Asian guy also has done these prolonged fastings plus he seems highly disciplined on his diet. I kind of believe that the stress of fasting can actually maybe "eat up" the unwanted or less desirable brain paths. I mean got to believe in fasting due to his testimony. He has made me believe there is something in fasting though I think that the other component is to be strict on diet outside of fasting, which frankly I fail at, plus my longest fast was 5 days. And it was excruciating frankly. So I can imagine that going for 30 days of fasting AND with schizophrenia without the meds is like going to the spiritual moon without a rocket, if you know what I mean.
@pau19764 күн бұрын
@vivavoy I did 9 days dry fasting in the past and then several 4 and 5. I am currently far from 10 days in this water fasting, aiming to 40. The key is keep going regardless of how you feel. I believe there ia something spiritual going on as well. If you listen to NDEs and the recent papers published, it opens your eyes. Fasting gets you closer to God, and bad spirits flee. I have been convinced atheist for 40 years until I questioned my beliefs. Fasting is key.
@vivavoy4 күн бұрын
@pau1976 since we share our fasting experience, my main drawback is SLEEPING. the longer the fast, the less I sleep, and my cognitive abilities to do anything are gone. So doing 30 days could be only done without any real life duties, at least in my case. Wish you good luck. However, if you don't have anything serious to get rid of, I would not even try going beyond 7 days tbh. I think it is such a stress for the body including sleep disturbance that it is not worth it frankly.

Hi Steven, These are great videos. Schizophrenia is very hard to understand. Your videos help me understand what my LOs are going through. Also, I have been on the Keto diet since April. I am on the diet to learn the lifestyle and model what to eat for my LOs. I find the diet very exciting. I have been learning new recipes all the time. I have learned to cook more new recipes this year than ever before. Love your videos!! Thank you!

My son experiences ALL the same symptoms that Stephen is able to express. My son does not have the "insight of his illness" like Stephen does so this is so very helpful to understand what is going on with my son (and Stephen and all those who suffer from schizophrenia). Thank you Stephen and Dad for being transparent and communicating/advocating for this horrid disease. You are both doing great getting information out there to the general public to help in educating our culture and enlightening those who watch about what schizophrenia really is all about. It is a very misunderstood brain disease in so many ways.

Very helpful video, Stephen! Many people are having a difficult time coping with the stress and anxiety caused by the LA Fires. Destruction, the loss of beloved pets, evacuations, injuries and the deaths of loved ones could have mental health effects that could last months or even years. Even if you aren't personally impacted by the flames, it's important to pay attention to the signs that you might be overwhelmed by your emotions right now.👋❤
