I read Black Cake and watched the adaptation on Hulu. Loved them both-very well done. I have just recently was lucky enough to get an ARC of Good Dirt. This was outstanding too! Definitely this author is for me and hope there is more to come. Loved your video-looking forward to the new books in 2025!

I really liked the selection of books you picked for this video, and I'm definitely going to check out your blog for more recommendations! My most anticipated release for 2025 (for right now, at least) is Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Even though I didn't love the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, I enjoyed Daisy Jones and The Six and Malibu Rising quite a bit, so will be checking out this new release come June!

I’m so glad you are making videos! I’m 56 and a voracious reader of thrillers and mysteries and I essentially newly came to KZbin to listen to others talk about books I’m reading. I found a few booktubers whose voice resonates for me, but some others not so much. So, it’s really nice to have a mature (but still young) woman like yourself come back to provide some quality book-related content that people in my season of life can enjoy too. Thank you! Keep up the good work!

Green is SO fun! TBH I wasn't totally sure at first because I'm actually a little bit color blind with greens and blues (lol). But it has grown a lot on me. Ah, thankfully we are all safe from the storm in Raleigh. But about three houses away was absolute devastation. Asheville (and small mountain towns) got hit soo hard. 💔

I absolutely LOVE monologues on editing and the work you do! Also, don’t you prefer SMOS online for efficiency? Physical books have their place, but it’s so much easier for me to look things up online than in a book.

@@tikokokhreidze4607 omg THANK YOU I was getting sooo chatty lol. And yes, 100%! Online CMOS subscription is far superior! I have bookmarks there, too😂I do prefer to look up some random rules in my physical copy for some reason, especially bibliography stuff?? Is there a method to my madness?? Lol

Oh man next year is a big year of home renovating for my family. Our kitchen is going to get the most work done. We need to add more cabinet space as well as getting a new Oven and fridge. We moved into a house with a very small freezer and a separate stove top and very small oven. I have no idea how to even get this process going!

@@YTLawnGnome it’s a LOT and we aren’t even really “renovating” or gutting cabinets or anything-really just painting old cabinets 😂but it’s going to be worth it for sure! It’s an overwhelming process!!

I loved this! A few years ago I made a bookstagram and although I had a very small following of like 200 people I felt like we were all chatting a lot and since I've been back I felt my photography skills had declined and like all the people I used to talk to were no longer around etc, etc., and I felt like I had no space here. But I also started creating again anyways because I also want to be here. Thank you for this video simply because it was nice to know there is another person out in the world who I can resonate with, I'm glad you're here creating again♥

Oh my goodness! It is so nice to see you back! It is strange of us KZbinrs who are now in other stages in life. I am also a proud parent of a 2 year old so yea I am so focused on so many other things rather than KZbin. However, it does feel great to see how my fellow creators are doing and what they are up to. Katie is awesome she actually contacted me a few months back to see how things were going. Especially when my daughter was still very much new to the world. Hope all is well! Oh yes! I am with you on house cleaning. For some reason it just allows me to destress I don't know why.

@@MollieReads I have to say my wife and I are very lucky our daughter is truly something special. That's me saying this after hearing from family, teachers and doctors. She is already saying full sentences, eager to dress herself and her knowledge is incredible. She even helped me brush MY teeth this morning. However, the greatest blessing we got is that she since she was born was a night sleeper! We found ourselves most of the time having to wake her up for night feedings!

I was going to say, I prefer thrillers in movie format, but you also have Dark Academia recs, which I love! I just finished A Great and Terrible Beauty, it was a bit too dark for me, with the human sacrifice element, etc. Louise Millar is a brilliant British thriller writer I discovered 10 years ago when I was into this genre. Her stories are family based and often deal with anxiety/mental health issues, which makes them very interesting. Accidents Happen and the Play Date are really good. I just love Gothic stories around this time of year: Historical, Gothic reads, preferably set/written in the Victorian era. I would HIGHLY recommend Michelle Griep's series based on Gothic classics, such as Frankenstein. They are beautifully written with gently gothic themes - nothing frightening. Man of Shadow and Mist and Lost in Darkness are my favourites from her 🙂

I got a new mic and accidentally made the audio too quiet (working on it!), but you should be able to hear SOMETHING 🤔🤔that’s so strange… I wonder if it would work if you tried opening in a different browser or something? @@MollieReads I thought I couldnt hear any talking at first either (could hear the music, just not you talking), then i realized i only had 1 headphone in. it seems the sound was only coming through the right side, then it switched to only the left side. hope that helps! glad you are back!!
