Hi Sujoy Thanks for the great video. I am also planning to buy used car for my family and given we are new to driving and hence planning to buy Automatic only. Grand i10 magna AT 2017(December) 78K driven we are getting for 4.5 Lacs. In hyderabad. can you please advise if its a good option? Or if the price is high? Thank you in advance.

It's a nice car, reliable transmission, but transmission will be advised to undergo transmission fluid, filter change due to the age, mileage. You can skip this, but for long life of the automatic transmission, it is highly recommended. The car will not be very fuel efficient as discussed earlier, and price seems to be on the higher side for the Magna AT trim. I'm not very aware of present used car prices, so would advise checking on Orange Book Value, Carwale etc for a decent price range in your city.

Really stupid design for changing a simple air filter, it should be able to open it from the top and not remove it all completely, they have made a 2 minute job into a 30 minute job.

If it's the same shape Jetta, your 2.0 TDI is the updated engine. Quite a few operations are common/similar to this video, however the part numbers of parts (oil filter, fuel filter) might be different. Cabin air filter might be the same. Will have to check your VIN and identify the correct service parts. Procedure is similar, but maybe you will be benefitted if you have VCDS or another Scan Tool for priming the 2.0 TDI fuel pump on fuel filter replacement.

All service centers/garages have the tendency to make mistakes with some or the other small task like diagnosis, routine service etc.

@gamergenix5 Pune only has BU Bhandari now. They're much better than Jay Vijay Motor's Vidyut Motor's VW dealership. If you need a good garage, do look at The Mechanix Automotive, quite near to you, and I know most of the folks there. They're very good with German cars.

Actually, the last service team mounted them the wrong way which was causing a bounce towards the end. Flipping it solved the issue. They're still running strong, 7 years later, no not sure what's happening!

In my experience halogens are best suitable for wet and foggy climates as the LED and hid suffer highly for light scattering in wet weather. But this holds very good for dry climate

Hello, Very informative and good explanation I also own a 2020 1.0 TSI manual polo, I would like to do the BCM Max upgrade, as mentioned in your teambhp thread you have upgraded to "7E0937090E" BCM Max , I'm confused as per your reference thread BCM ends with the letters B, D, F, H, K, M, P, R, T are recommended, please help me to sort this out, thank you

Don't trust everything generic you read on the internet. BCM Max ending in E works fine, for a lot of people who have done BCM Max retrofits

@SujoyShivde I saw the ESP light on the new instrument cluster. I have VW Polo Highline Petrol manufactered 07/2014 and no display of ESP. Can you share your knowledge regarding this, Does VW Polo had ESP in standard in India?

Polo had ESP only on AT equipped models. So your High line Petrol will not have ESP from factory. Clusters always have ESP light, it may activate if ABS has malfunction

Reason, Why I am asking for ESP activation possibility, is because I am looking for a possibility of activating the dynamic trajectory parking line in the 360 camera installed with the Android 13 Head Unit. The support guy had asked me if my Polo has ESP then he can find out a way to activate by adding an additional device which wud generate the dynamic data required for the Dynamic Trajectory Parking Lines...!!!

@rajivesingh you can retrofit ESP, but only a few are qualified and experienced to do it. There are teams in Pune who can do it for you, they have done it on plenty of vehicles.

Hello Sujoy, I have watched you entire video and I think that you can help me verify a couple of informations. I have bought used VW Golf tie model s 2019. It displayed the message Front assist not available. I took it to the garage to diagnose it. Changed the radar and programmed it to fit the car. The garage staff said that before we proceed to the calibration I have to change the steering wheel as it’s not compatible with my car. ( it was changed before) Afterwards I found it very hard to find one with the same part number. I’m really confused and don’t know what to do. The message is still on display and the cruise control not working. Should I just proceed and do the calibration of the radar? Or wait until I find compatible steering wheel? Can a steering wheel with the same switches and different part number be coded to fit my car ? Please help me. Your advise is very much appreciated.

Yes lot of different steering wheels can be configured to work with your VW. Front Assist not available is indeed a radar issue and can be fixed by calibration/radar replacement. Hi Sujoy, do you recommend buying a used grand i10 sports manual transmission 2019. Car is just 15,000 km driven so far. Few points which i have a question related to grand i10: 1. Some people sat yhat the dashboard is positioned on a hogher side so it can cause problem for shorter passenger. What could be the drivers ideal height so that this problem is not observed. 2. Mileage in city and Highway conditions.my usage is on the liwer side though as i am a new driver. 3. Lifeless steering feedback. 4. Should etios liva 2017 dual tone petrol be preferred over grand i10

Fairly reliable engine so 15000kms is not much at all. I have seen drivers from 5" to 5"8 drive this without any concerns. Mileage in city should be 10-11km/l (minimum for Manual), highways maybe 14-15km/l, but definitely not as fuel efficient as Maruti 1.2L engines.

Steering feedback is not great on many Hyundai cars, it's not lifeless, it's slightly weirdly weighted because of the EPS algorithm, definitely not going to be great for an enthusiast or experienced driver, but perfectly fine for most people doing city drives. Etios is also good, probably a little simpler in design, simpler interiors, but probably more reliable because of Toyota badge.

What's your opinion on buying Ritz 2013 petrol vxi (doctor owned) as a used car to practice driving (I had learnt to drive last year through driving school but as you might know there are very limited sessions in driving school). The main reason for buying a used car is to gain confidence in driving and occasionally use it for travel if required with family later on. What's your opinion just, the ritz is well maintained with proper service history up to date. Should I go with it or go with a grand i10 automatic or manual ? The price is a bit high here in Goa the Rita is available with a reputed dealer for 2.65 lakhs

Greetings Sujoy, It's been a year since my dad's car was purchased, and now I am ready to upgrade my high beams. For the low beams, I have 25W HID bulbs,lowbeam which are okay for city driving but lack visibility on highways. I'm now considering two models for the upgrade and am a bit confused. Based on your previous guidance, here are the two models I'm considering: :H7 Ultinon Essential G2 LED Bulb 12/24V 24W :H7 Ultinon Pro9000 LED Bulb 12V 18W Please let me know which is the best option for reflector-based headlights.

I've tried the Ultinon Pro 9000, and it works well, definitely an improvement over the Halogen. Would expect similar results from Essential G2. I don't particularly endorse hids in reflectors, but if you aren't happy with HIDs might not really find LEDs too effective

Bhai, I have Suzuki Ritz VDI Diesel 2013, My car ran 1.4L with good engine condition. Now next service im planing to use TOP TEC 4100 5 W 40 with Ceratec, 1st I Flush with Liqui Moly ProLine. So Bro is it ok for me ?

Yes no problem to use LiquiMoly oil, but if not necessary, don't consider flushing the engine. It's not always the best idea to flush older engines with high mileage

We have a Tiguan 2.0 TDI, EA288. That one recommends VW 505.01, which is met by TopTec 4100 (5W-40). TopTec 4200 ideally recommended for cars with DPF.

The drive belt is a consumable, but it is not even remotely the driver's fault. Lack of an engine cover is a bad design decision by the manufacturer. And a drive belt going back in under 20k Kms is also concerning

I had my VW Vento Petrol(2013) mount replaced yesterday, and the results are quite amazing, the car's power and pickup seem to have rejuvenated and vibrations are virtually disappeared.

@@tom3nex much quieter. When the mounts become shaky, you can obviously hear the noise inside the cabin. I kept confusing it for suspension issues, until my other mechanic drove it and identified the issue.

I respect the OEM and trust their engineering, I have same double barrel in my car, I stayed on OEM bulbs for 5 yrs, I think the OEM bulbs are good enough to drive but as you rightly mentioned there are cheap people who use their bulbs to spoil others vision. I saw some cab and creta drivers use LED bulbs just to make others blind. I liked this bulbs Sujay, I will get in touch with you once I am in Pune.
