After riding this bike I sent a letter to the FCC - I am writing to bring to your urgent attention the serious adverse effects I have experienced due to electromagnetic radiation emitted by the Harley-Davidson LiveWire, an electric motorcycle. As an individual who is highly electro-sensitive, I am acutely aware of the effects of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) on the human body. However, the experience I had with the LiveWire was unprecedented and alarming, necessitating an immediate investigation into the safety of this vehicle and the EMFs it generates. Incident Overview: I rode the Harley-Davidson LiveWire for the first time. Almost immediately, I noticed unusual sensations in my body. When letting off the throttle, my arms began to tingle, and upon dismounting the motorcycle, white bubbles appeared all over my body. More concerningly, when I began to charge the motorcycle, I felt an intense and pervasive sensation that I had never experienced before. This sensation was so strong that it caused physical discomfort from up to 30 feet away from the charging unit. The charging process also caused visible damage to the motorcycle itself. The speedometer began to deform, and the mirrors showed signs of rust, despite the fact that the vehicle is stored in a climate-controlled garage, protected from sun exposure. These damages are directly linked to the charging process, as I could physically feel the radiation that was responsible for them. Health Impact: As a result of this exposure, I experienced a series of debilitating symptoms: My body was covered in white bubbles, which slowly receded over several hours. It took me six hours before I could urinate, which I believe was due to the rearrangement of my body’s cells caused by the intense electromagnetic exposure. My eyes burned during and after exposure, although this symptom subsided as I recovered. Since this incident, my sensitivity to Wi-Fi and other EMFs has increased dramatically, leading to a significant decrease in my quality of life. Why This Matters: The symptoms I experienced are not just isolated occurrences but are indicative of a broader issue that may affect other users of electric vehicles, particularly those as powerful as the LiveWire. There is a growing body of evidence suggesting that the electromagnetic emissions from such vehicles, especially during charging, can have significant health implications. Given the severity of the symptoms I experienced, I urge the FCC to: Investigate the electromagnetic emissions of the Harley-Davidson LiveWire, particularly during charging, to determine if they comply with existing safety standards. Review the safety standards related to electromagnetic emissions from electric vehicles, especially concerning individuals with electro-sensitivity. Consider imposing stricter regulations on the permissible levels of EMFs emitted by electric vehicles to protect public health. The health and safety of individuals, especially those like myself who are electro-sensitive, must be prioritized. I trust that the FCC will take this matter seriously and conduct a thorough investigation to prevent any further harm. Thank you for your prompt attention to this critical issue.

Great video as always Ben. Have you ever done a video talking about theft prevention on the LiveWire? I don’t see many people talking about it… I admit I’m a bike newbie and aiming to get a S2 Del Mar in early 2025. Even though I don’t live in a high crime area, I still get that fear of someone just walking up to my bike, kicking the kickstand and just walking away with it. What preventative things can be done? Or is it just the locking the handlebars thing you showed? Guess I’m just curious as to arming and disarming this and the odds of it being stolen, which I know no one can REALLY tell me, but was just asking.
@AdventuresonZero
@AdventuresonZero 14 күн бұрын
Not sure if I'll ever make a video of it, but my approach to anti-theft is to make my bike a pain in the ass to steal, or as much as I can. If I'm riding and parking the bikes in a built up area or large city, I lock the forks, and use a rotor lock on the front which has an obnoxiously loud siren if the bike is moved even a little. Ultimately though, if someone REALLY wants your bike, they're gonna take it no matter what. I will say that on the S2 platform, LiveWire is working on some really interesting stuff for bike security and theft. I haven't heard much in months, so hoping it's something they're still crunching down on as it's not something anyone else in the industry is doing (that I know of).

My gimp clutch hand is forcing me to look at these bikes. I gotta admit, in my opinion, these aren't attractive looking bikes. I assume they are really quick? Because Tesla's and some E-bicycles are pretty f'n quick. I would like for my E-HD to be dominant over these that I've previously mentioned. Seriously though, I don't see any on the road in my area of SoCal. Although I'm certain some are sold here.

No. You’ll drain the 12v if connected directly to it, and will take an expedited trip to meet Jesus when you tap into all 363volts on the main pack 😝 you can put the bike in accessory mode, which keeps the USB-C port active.

I've ridden an ebike for 2 years now and it has slowly made me extremely interested in a motorcycle, specifically an electric one. Problem is alway cost though. I initially looked at the Ryvid Anthem, and while it ticks a lot of the boxes, I'm weary of startup companies because who's to say they'll be around in 5 years? Found LiveWire and it pretty much is everything I'm looking for. Again, price is the only issue... It's August 2024 as I make this comment and I am planning on getting my motorcycle license within the next month or so and then making a serious conscious effort to go for this bike. I live alone, don't travel, my entire life is within a 20 mile radius (at max) my apartment complex and job offer free level 2 charging and I'm a minimalist with my things. If I really really needed a car for a bit I could always rent one.... Maybe I'll check back with this video in early 2025 when I have presumably the dollars for this bike, but as of right now this is my target. I've watched so many videos on this and it's exactly what I'm looking for. The ONLY thing I'm not entirely seeing reviews on is like just a bit more extended cargo. I know of their website they offer side bags and a rear rack with case, but I'm still new to all of this. Basically I'm just needing something in where I can store a few groceries from time to time, nothing major.

Hi Ben I have my Del Mar since 10 days and I was already on the Stelvio., There is the highest Charger of Europe on 2800 m. So far is everything fine, but the navigation only works when I give a destination. When I drive without destination or if the destination is already reached, the map stops. I thought you had also this problem and mentioned it in one of your videos, but I can't find it anymore. Do you have a solution? Thanks, Ralf
@AdventuresonZero
@AdventuresonZero 27 күн бұрын
Hey Ralf, right now the only way to keep the map updating on the TFT is to leave the map view open on the app. The navigation uses the phone location, not the bike location, so phone has to be on and in the app to work. Hopefully this is something that gets fixed in a firmware update
