Thanks Jarrod - very interesting! You gave me an idea when you talked about shifting the exit times by a few minutes to avoid the wider spreads... You could shift your exit earlier if you get negative swaps, or later if the swaps are positive. Just to save/gain a little more!

If you want to be really transparent, start unveiling the CAGRs and Sharpe ratios of the strategies you‘re testing. Those are universally accepted, hard performance metrics.

Why do you trade based on fixed position size ? Wouldn’t it be better to trade accordingly to your stop loss size and risk 1% of your capital per trade ? Risk a fixed position size per trade is very unusual

It is just a matter of accuracy (win/loss ratio) vs money(risk) management High accuracy doesn't need to worry about risk management, in fact if you put more emphasize on risk management your profit will be much much lower, especially in the long run

Some strategies do not work well, or at all, on lower amounts. The 1 lot above is a standard test. I use half a lot. Doesn't matter as long as what your testing is the standard for you. You have to compare apples with apples which each strategy.
