Definitely a really cool and unique EM layout on this one especially with the 6 flippers!

Absolutely out here. Nice last ball there and that machine seems to be working great. Good job.

The Gottlieb titles never end. I wonder how many machines they made in total?

I’d only read about that table; I’d never seen it in action. There’s so much packed into it, I didn’t even know where to look. 👀

Thank you SO MUCH!! I was having such a hard time figuring out why my pop bumper assemblies weren’t sitting quite right, and then at 8:30 you show exactly why. I was aligning the two plastic parts so both of the bigger posts matched up instead of sliding the small post into the big one!

I honestly feel like this is the best of the coaster trilogy pins. It's far more fun to shoot in my opinion than both Cyclone and Hurricane.

I played this game a long time ago on a real beat up machine, the ferris wheel toy didn't work at all on it. Still thought it was fun from what I could do on it lol

You always have a great Ball 1. You should just set number of balls to 1.... no point playing after ball 1 drains hehe!

Lots of praise for this machine in the comments. In my opinion, it looks like a horrible layout for a widebody and a massive waste of available real estate. When you look at Flight 2000, Cheetah, Iron Maiden, Viper, Big Game, etc. It's obvious how much more could have been done with this title being a widebody. A bit underwhelming to me.

We had this machine when I was growing up back in the 80s. Our version was called Space Odyssey.

I was 16 years old in 1966 and my brother-in-laws father had an old beat-up Knock Out machine in the chicken coup. He let me have it for a few years and I did a refurb on it. After a clean-up the play-field was in pretty good shape. I dedicated my spare time for the next couple of months (about 200 hours worth) and I got it working like a champ. I kept it for about three years before he asked me to return it. I kept my end of the bargain and he got a damn good refrub machine, gratis.

On my Target Alpha the targets reset after each ball. I'm surprised this one doesn't do that. They're set up nearly identical.
@londonpinball2 ай бұрын
The single player version of the game doesn't reset the targets between balls. It's what gives El Dorado a leg up over the multi-player versions. You have the whole game to try to complete the targets and get the special.

I give you guys credit for keeping those going. I have yet to play a wood rail from any manufacturer that i would want to keep. I didn't even like my gottlieb cover girl or gottlieb royal guard. I suppose if you played them when you were a kid it brings back memories.

For what it's worth, this is one of the least fun games I've played from this era. Williams games with impulse flippers are not much fun in my opinion. It's hard to control the ball and aim for anything and the games are over pretty quickly. It's just a slight step above flipperless games (although I've played some fun flipperless pre-war machines). Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are fun woodrails. Check out Gottlieb Universe and Gottlieb Queen of Hearts for a couple examples of super fun woodrail pinball machines. And there's all kinds of fun 60's machines, such as Bowling Queen and King of Diamonds.

I played this obsessively at a local bowling alley when I was a teenager. Even though I tore it up, and always got extended play, I used to think to myself, "I hope real driving isn't this hard." It wasn't!

I thought it might be "BALL me again." I think headphones are required for a clear determination. Yes, a lot of words and expressions from not too long ago are basically illegal today. "Ace Ventura-Pet Detective" is a totally illegal movie today. And yet it is one of the funniest movies of all time. WTF.
