I am obviously going to play devils advocate at minimum here, but I'm excited to see the arguments made and see if I'm actually playing devils advocate, or if I just disagree. Little tid bit. Mr Popo introduced Goku to ultra instinct, even if it wasn't by that name, and Goku did master it. But that is a whole different can of worms to open. Subaru- There is a difference between not losing, and winning. To start with (ignoring the 3 major issues with the argument), the whole "keep throwing things at the wall and eventually something will stick' argument only gets you so far. It doesn't matter how many times I try to put out the sun with an eye dropper, its never going to happen. As for the actual issues. 1. We are assuming that Goku is actually killing Subaru. He has no reason to. Subaru is not a threat, he isn't going to be pushed to any degree at all, and there is not going to be any threat to Goku's life (so there will be no Frieza situation, where he kills Frieza in self defense.). More likely than not, he is going to be casually flicked aside, but he will not die. 2. We are assuming that Goku doesn't overpower the entity that causes return by death. If Goku kills Subaru, senses the power that is causing return by death to happen, and breaks that power, then RTD is rendered null. 3. If we are going off just straight blood lust, the odds of Subaru actually finding a way to beat Goku is FAR less than the odds of Goku having a bad day, and just using Hakai on Subaru. He can't return by death if he doesn't die, but instead just doesn't exist. Aldebaran- I've only watched the anime here, and am not quite fully caught up yet. However, based on what was said in the video about him having to manually set it up, not only do all the same above points about RTD still apply, but its even worse since the possibility of Goku blitzing him before he gets his respawn set up is fully within the cards to happen. Regulus- Goku has literally dealt with time manipulators before. Its not even a theory that Goku would break through Regulus' defense, its straight up canon that he would/could. As far as Regulus doing damage to Goku, that is still under the category of an appeal to probability fallacy (or as the vs community puts it, a no limits fallacy. ). Essentially the argument is that its never been shown to be able to be stopped, therefore it cannot be stopped. Sure, but its also shown to not be able to be stopped in a universe, where characters would crap their pants if they saw a solar system get obliterated (and that is with the busted characters.). So, saying that said attack would have the same effect against someone who is taking and dishing out multi universe busting attack on an EXTREME low ball, is really not that reasonable of an argument. However, even if we ignore those points, its still not at all cut and dry. Lets say his attacks could hurt Goku, they still have to be fast enough to actually make contact with him, which is just not a thing in Re-zero. As for the defensive hack, Goku fought Botamo, where the force from all of his attacks were being sent into another dimension (a very similar concept to Regulus' thing, except its space manipulation instead of time manipulation.), yet Goku was still able to adjust what he was doing and ended up taking the win anyway, so its not out of the question that Goku would be capable of finding an alternate solution (IE, in a completely blood lusted and extreme battle, Goku could just grab the section of ground underneath him, then chuck him into space.). Or again, on the absolute worst case scenario example, we have hakai which renders all of this null anyway. Pandora- As with above, we are talking about appeal to probability fallacies. We have legitimately seen DB characters resist different forms of reality warping (from transmutation, mind control, teleportation, existence erasure, etc.). Is it possible that her reality warping would work on Goku? Sure, in theory its possible. Is it also possible that DB characters would just let out a slight burst of ki, and overpower her reality warping? Absolutely. The big issue here is, her abilities have only been shown on being with Re-zero level power scaling (which I don't think its a hot take to say that the power scaling in Re-zero is nowhere near DB levels of scaling.), while DB characters hacks resistance has been shown against DB level characters. But as with many of the above, lets ignore that point and give Re-zero the best chance possible. If she decides to toy with Goku, like she was doing to the characters in the flash back, then eventually Goku will realize that he can't defeat her with shear power due to her "immortality", and resort to Hakai (like he did with Zamasu.). It doesn't matter how busted your hacks are, if you don't exist to use them, they are useless. Reinhard- Honestly, I don't really see the difference between this one Regulus and Pandora. All of them require the same appeal to probability fallacy to make the argument. Honestly, I would argue that Reinhard stands the best chance, since there would technically be the possibility that he could obtain some butt pull power to allow him to bypass hakai, which for the other, that isn't even a option. Don't get me wrong, I don't at all believe that Reinhard stands a chance, as I don't believe in using appeal to probability fallacies (essentially, we need to see Reinhart's abilities holding up against people who are destroying universes, before we can put him in a conversation with a low ball Goku.). However, taking the "we need to be generous to the other universe, so that there is an actual interesting discussion" approach that I usually take when commenting on this channel, Rainhard easily stands the best chance of anyone brought up so far. Gluttony siblings- As pointed out, they actually have to touch Goku first. And yes there have been situations where Goku has let his guard down, but lets not ignore the context, and pretend like this is some super easy thing to have happen. The only realistic way they are touching Goku, is if Goku lets them touch him. Remember, Goku can sense intent behind one's actions, so even if they pretended to be innocent, and just wanted to shake hands, in an opposite scenario to when Goku didn't react at all to Trunk's sword, because he had no intent to actually attack, Goku would immediately know they are meaning harm, and would be able to react accordingly. So, they would have to be in a fight with Goku, and Goku would have to be toying with them, and let them make contact with him. Otherwise there would have to be a very specific situation set up, like with Sorbet, where Goku's focus is on an actual threat, but still has his guard down. That said, lets look at 2 different instances where people tried to steal Goku's power. Yakon tried to steal Goku's power, and Goku literally leaned into it, causing Yakon to explode. We also have Moro who, though not Goku's power itself, was having the MUI power backfire into himself, causing him to need to fuse with the planet in order to not explode. The point is, if they tried copy, and possibly just eat Goku's power, its entirely likely that they would literally just explode.

Wait, I am pretty sure Reinhard divine protections were avoided just by Emilia attacking him without thinking towards the end of one of the “If” paths. So UI is literally Reinhard’s natural weakness. I do not see a girl with similar powers being any different. Doesn’t gluttony need the birth name of somebody, Felt literally was saved because the name she knew her whole life was not her actual birth name, it was actually harmful towards gluttony to eat a fake name. Also Reid memories took over gluttony as soon as his name, and history were eaten. As for the death loop boys, why would Goku kill them? He has ki binding techniques, sealing techniques, and he could just throw them in jail, and if they try to end themselves Goku would sense the emotions. Or IDK use Hakai, if it could erase a being the author couldn’t erase, and Arale, I do not see how death loop would get around it. The time stop barrier that protects the user, I will be honest, if Goku use spirit fission problem solved it’s basically the only Yardrat techniques he did not randomly used without explaining. There’s always the simple ability of just yelling at him and using the power that Buuhan, Gotanks, and Super Buu used to shatter through space time dimensions, or to try crushing the universe. Or just overpower the hax like what he did against hit.

This is the first one where I would disagree, assuming Rebuild. Base 01 no power supply time limit: Thing is its durability even without the AT field is pretty good. Against Ramiel it tanked a beam that instantly sublimated steel within about 10-15m of itself for about 20 seconds or so with significant damage. Outside of of outlier feats this is stronger than virtually anything in DB. THough offensively only the prog knife is really relevant I would still say it gets through DB, only faltering to great ape raditz or so. End of 2.22: Zeruel blasted through miles of rock with 2 attacks before evolving further by absorbing 00 (though whether that was a power increase is debatable). Against the same attack the awakening/ascending 01 was entirely unimpressed. So while I'm thinking that it would probably still falter to great ape vegeta, great ape nappa may be doable. Later forms: Fucked if I know. That one gets entirely too confusing.

Personal opinion: Pre vegeta (177): no trouble with normal hollows, gillians though... . Can make it into SS but gets overwhelmed there by rank&file pileup. Vegeta /1480): Could fight some captains during SS in base form. Maybe shikai but that is debatable. Android (20k) and later: makes it quite far, only really stopped by the levels of conceptual BS powers that crop up during and after hueco mundo. THough even during whatever it is that is happening now I would still give the benefit to be equivalent to some of the more conventional vice captains. (So a speedbump)

Personally I would also discount otlier feats from both sides such as DBs and early DBZ tendency to blow up the moon. That feat is so incongruent with the rest of their respective feats at those levels that to me it is story development only. And while it is filler (i think) I would also discount Vegeta exploding the bug planet or king vegeta exploding several planets for the same reason. Once we get to freeza it would be fine.

Personal opinion: Sikorski and Doyle have enough capability to enter and maybe pass the qualifiers of the first DB tournament. But that is it. Yanagi: I could actually see getting into the top 4 of said tournament and be a minor threat afterwards. Dorian: Iirc in the china arc it was revealed he punched his way through a mountain out of a cave, so he could stay relevant until the second tournament especially with his hypnotic ability. Spec: I could see as a ki-attack less tien in the second tournament (though that is pushing it a bit).
