I'm in my mid 40's. I was an avid lifter throughout my teens and twenties. I got married and had kids and lost touch with weightlifting for a bit. I've been back at it for a while now and as far as I can remember face pulls were not a thing when I was in my teens and twenties. As far as I can tell face pulls are a newer movement which is cool! I think they are great and I wish I knew about them back then, I would have had better back and rear delts.

Really good stuff!! I've been lifting for years, and I learned quite a bit. It was interesting to hear your you reasoning/logic behind the movements and why you do them. I am one that likes to know the "whys" not just the "what". When someone tells you why it works or why they do it that way its a lot more impactful. I think its cool that you are thinking outside of the box and coming up with new movements like the Mcleod Fly.

235 kg is insane. My PR is 150. Problem is that I never actually used my lats and am now only starting to understand. But this didnt mean I could bench as much or more straight away. Right now it feels heavier to do even though I know its better technique. Does someone recognize this?

It's a very impressive feat of strength, however at what point does real life functionality come in play. Again, amazing feat of strength but nobody is pressing boulders to build pyramids or whatever. How is benching that much transfer to anything functional with life? Don't get me wrong being strong is a must but the question is to what extent and for what purpose?

Little late to the video but… what areas would you say need strengthening if getting discomfort behind the shoulders on pressing movements ? Almost seems rear delt related

You didn't deadlift anything here. Sumo doesnt count.
@RbgBennett6 ай бұрын
Tip #1: sumo was a mistake in the rules powerlifting failed to correct. No one outside of powerlifting is impressed by it. Strong man took over strength sports when it banned the sumo.

Declines are easier hence why when you arch your back so much, it's essentially becoming a decline and in a way that could be argued as having even more support than a decline.
