Low pressure media and water is only added to suppress the dust 👍

@@Mobileblaster I live between two chemical plants, at that time the largest plywood mill in the world, Georgia Pacific, lots of oilfield too. One of the chemical plants owns the largest lithium plant in the world. We were the only sandblast and paint company around here besides some one man show outfits. Like I said, we never white blasted anything like that. The machine in the video might have gotten water blasted with some panther soap, wiped down with lacquer thinner, taped off and painted. Like one guy called and brought us 50 oilfield tanker trailers to do. We only had two at a time on the yard, but we did all 50. Dove Gray primer, White Cloud paint, made by Interthane Universal. We had a lot of that because we used it in the chemical plants. At home is a 250 CFM Ingersoll Rand compressor, 10 bag Clemco pot, 250' blast hose with a whip, Deadman valve, charcoal inline filter for a Clemco fresh air blast hood. We know what we doing.

Very poor technique, tbh, mate. You’re supposed to hold the nozzle at a 20 degree angle and not point the nozzle directly at the substrate. Also, your air to media ratio is wrong. It’s why you’re taking so long to do a relatively small job
@Mobileblaster4 күн бұрын
Look forward to seen your videos 😊👌👍
@CymruCelt014 күн бұрын
@@Mobileblaster f*ck that, I’m retired. It was only constructive criticism anyway. Your technique is all wrong. By aiming the nozzle directly at the substrate, you’re causing a rippling effect, which in turn, will weaken the metal and cause stress fractures. I used to set these machines up and train people how to use DMS machines.
@Mobileblaster4 күн бұрын
@CymruCelt01 I will take on board any constructive criticism if it's just that. But what you are saying makes no sense. It's impossible to cause the steel any harm the only factor you're talking about won't make any difference to the steel at all. In your 1st comment you say it's taken way too long how long did it take me and did I make a profit? Is my business still in operation after many years? I must be doing something right BUT I do say these videos arnt a how too as people find ways that work for them the way I do things works for me not saying it's the right way but I'm plenty happy enough with how things are going 👍 I would love some professional constructive criticism not from armchair expert that makes no sense in what they type 👍
@CymruCelt014 күн бұрын
@@Mobileblaster I’m not some armchair expert! I was a professional, shot blaster! I used to work in the shot blasting industry for many years and conduct courses to those that needed shot blasting qualifications! And you will damage the steel What I said makes perfect sense, and you should use the nozzle at a 20 degree angle, otherwise it will cause a rippling effect to the substrate, which in turn can cause hairline cracks. I actually know what I’m talking about
