Wow! Looks 10 times better now. It was horrible before, but i suppose the paint job may have been fashionable at one time. Im not a builder, but the paint job i believe can cover a multiple of sins and cheaper than cure. Obviously proves that out of sight isn't always out of mind, only on a temporary basis. A lot of landlords at one time painted the bricks for a cheaper option rather than properly curing damp etc. Anyway good news for you, as rectifying these bodges keeps you in a job 😅 😊 you have done really well to do the job so neat, but would be even better if the whole houses had it done 😊

I think it could be a matter of education not alot of people know that blasting is a feesable opinion of removing paints. Blasting as a industry gets a bad rep on brick and stone as a few bad operators tar the industry I started these videos to prove time and time again it's not the case and hopefully change how people think about blasting or at least show it's an economic opinion available 👌👍

Mick does the dustless blasting just run off a normal hose pipe feed or does it require a more substantial water feed? And what media are you using with it?

I do this for a living. It's hard work work no doubt. The blasting is the easy part. The cleaning up and picking up media is what really gets to me.

Brilliant job Mick! Just found your channel, what’s the name of the machine you’re using here? I’ve done a little brick cleaning in my time but thinking of trying sand/media blasting so if I know a god machine to try I’ll rent one my way 👍

Great job but shame wasn't the four together; well worthwhile followed by the spalted bricks (why painted naively in first instance by many) chopped out and replaced and a re-point. All the residual wires could run internally and in roof. Looks much better and I know will fix the problem. The redundant chimney flues should be checked as properly capped and ventilated as often they are not done properly.

Would have volunteered to do all the brickwork and facade improvements and taking care of the messy wiring in these homes. If paid accordingly :)

@@Mobileblaster I wouldn't get away with that on the properties I work on in London, you would have a lawsuit if that all that residue landed on a neighboring property. Neighbors would be trying to point out all kinds of damage and have free work done or get a payment from you. You would have to tent off the entirety of the facade of the house being worked on. Thankfully it looks like the neighboring property is in pretty bad shape and the area is a bit rough but fair play its not an easy or pleasant job to do.
@Mobileblaster8 ай бұрын
@arbit3r Yeah I've done work before when they complain sometimes it's all down to the area I scope the workload beforehand having chats and explain what's likely to happen and listen to the concerns reassurance that your going to leave the area as clean or better normally is enough but I still get the odd people that complain I do my best to settle any issues. I know scaffolding and a full tent system is the best method but sometimes it's a matter of the costs this way normally puts jobs like this out of reach it's always a good idea to reassure folk that you will make it good after the work is completed

Dont. Paint. Brick UNLESS proper permeable silicate paint is used and its an internal application like the basement. The front facing facade of my house was painted many years ago and I wish it wasn't. When we had the house fully renovated and remodeled we opted to simply paint over with the desired colour. The painters had concerns, we had concerns but in the end sand blasting was not an option on our minds. Painters did a fantastic job though and the house looks great and never had damp to begin with. Old buildings need to have well ventilated basements and you need to check up on the exterior walls. If damp is present the problem needs to be addressed.

I think it won't be as noticeable once its dried out and repointed got to remember years of damp will take some time to dry properly. 👍
