CFE Black has worked ok for me, but I’ve gotten the best accuracy with VV N110. It’s also very quiet with my Mini Fix and Honey Badger. It’s also the cleanest burning powder thus far.

Thanks! "TL309-230-5R" It's only about $40 here in the U.S.A. I have not tried these in my 300BO upper yet. I know it has a different twist rate, so the results will undoubtable be different in a semi-auto.

Fresh video - thank you for sharing. I heard somewhere that at least one of the Harbor Freight powder coatings - one of the additives was technically rated as an abrasive when considering powder coating for reloads. I think it was black, but have no clue - this was years ago. Just a friendly heads up for something to research. Peace and thank you again. :)

8 grains of powder? Do you what a grain is? A single grain is 1/16 of a gram. 8 grains is half a gram. Your shooting this off with half a gram of black powder? Hmmm?

I responded to you on your other 10mm videos. If you didn’t get leading in the aftermarket barrel it’s because it’s smaller diameter than .3995” inside the barrel vs your lee crimp die your using that automatically resizes your bullets down to just from running your ammo up into way before it even touches your crimp plug. I haven’t bought an aftermarket barrel for it yet just because it shoots 1.5” groups at 25 yards pretty consistently with jacketed ammo. I’d tell you to try another brand crimp die. My custom hornady crimp die keeps from sizing down my cast bullets and keeps them from leading.
@tripplebeards34274 ай бұрын
Did you ever pull a few bullets to measure them after seating? The lee seater crimp die UNDERSIZES cast bullets. I had the same issue. It sized my .401, .402, and .404 cast all down the the same .3995”. My barrel slugged at .400. I got leading every time with powder coated bullets. If I switched over to my custom die die set made by hornady the crimp die just pushing down the flair won’t down size my cast. Imo your lee crimp die is your issue causing leading. I installed plain base gas checks on mine just for reassurance. I have to Test them yet but I am sure it will also be a bandaid for my leading issue.
@tripplebeards34274 ай бұрын
I knew you under sized your bullets before you shot. That’s because I did it myself. It’s because you used the lee die. It re sizes your cars bullets under spec. If I remove the crimp plug in my lee crimp die just to run ammo up into the knock down the bell on the cases….with zero crimp applied, it re sizes my cast to .3995! A thousands under my slugged barrel diameter. I’m sure you ended up with leading in your barrel. I have used my hornady custom crimp die to knock the bells down and it keeps my sized bullets at .402”. I've loaded .401 ACME cast with the hornady crimp and no leading. That lee seater/crimp/bulge buster die is bad news for the 10mm. It undersizes the cast bullets just by running them up in the die without any crimping process applied. The die is great for jacketed ammo but 10mm cast it undersizes them. I installed some plain base gas checks and am going to test them hopefully next week. I blame it on the polygonal rifling. Hopefully the gas checks keep it from leading. I have used chore boy to clean out my barrel. A few strokes wrapped on a brass brush removed all of it. I’ve been using 5.8 to 6. Grains of green dot. It tosses my brass about the same as your red dot. Super wimpy load. My ACME 5.8 and 6 grain green dot load load will shoot just as good of groups as factory ammo. The factory ammo will launch brass a good 15 to 20 plus feet vs the wimp green dot loads. They drop brass anywhere from right at my feet to about 3 feet. I would say they are close to 9mm recoil...or less.

Heads up to anyone going to make salutes/fireworks/flashpowders/blackpowder/ any pyrotechnic compositions that can cause serious burns and/or explode, and are regulated by the ATF, start by learning about the saftey aspects of handling, making, using, and transporting such composition/devices. Join a pyroclub and learn from professionals face to face. Read papers/books published by real professionals. The pyrotechnics guild international has papers on aluminum powder. A good year or two of knowledge could determine whether or not you still have hands/ don't end up with a felony on your record. Stay safe and dont break the law, and especially dont go out at 12 AM, setting off loud fireworks waking everybody up. It's extremely selfish.

There are many different types... These mixes are impact resistant. I can provide you a link if you would like to better inform yourself to avoid making more silly comments on other channels.
@Outlaw--JesseB5 ай бұрын
@@LionSilverVideos there's nothing silly about my comment asshat I've done plenty of research and am experienced with flash powder so while some mixes are more stable than others ALL OF THEM have the potential to SELF IGNITE and a short Google search will give you several websites that STRONGLY advise against jolting flash powder or storing it for any period of time.

You gotta try TPA Flash. The bass is unbelievable especially the bigger you go with the salutes. 70 perc 10 Al 10 TPA and 10 Sulfur for a 100 gram batch. Its allot safer too. #11 though is a favorite too because sulfur is so cheap.

Hey my brother my dad made 100's of grosses in the 60's 70's 80's and he mixed different kinds of powders that would flash and exploded. Not so much smoke. Black silver and a white mix with a little bit of corn hull bits mixed in and boy nice boomers. Back then 10 cents a piece now 2 to 4.00 per m80's and hard to find. But there out there. Hush world boot legs supply. 😮

What type of glue are you using for the ends. I rather glue the paper ends then hot glue take way too much time. Unless you have a assembly line.

You did yourself a disservice by not mixing the flash before. I can understand not wanting to, but if your going to mix in the tube, at least mix 5% of the Al with the PP through a screen. This will help stop the PP from clumping and the rest of the Al will mix better. My favorite way is to screen 5% then diaper the rest until it's mixed well.

I've wrapped M80s I've made with fiberglass filament tape in crossed directions and noticed a distinct increase in sound. Flash creates report much like lightning creates thunder, the reactants are two solids, the products are also two solids. I realized how much heat was made after doing some below ground tests which create a cavity large enough for my hand. A very warm cavity in the ground
