Transforming my old car with a killer new audio system!

This week our friends over at ‪@RetrosoundCarAudio‬ send over a JAM UP radio for the Galaxie!
I'll step you through the complete install and talk you through what this sound system is going to consist of! We are super excited to be doing this and it is going to take the Galaxie to the next level!

That's a pretty slick kit. I really wanted mine to look original so I had my clean original AM radio converted to AM/FM. I forget how much it cost since I had it done nearly 20 years ago. It's 100 watts and I have the dual voice coil 6x9 in the dash with another dual voice coil 6x9 in the original location in the rear package tray. It also has outputs for aux and an amp if I wanted to hook one up. It does not have blue tooth since that was not really common back then. I'm sure you could get it now.

@@jewllake that's a good way to do it! Anything I have taken off of this car I have kept in case me or anyone else after me wanted to put it back to original! I hope you'll subscribe and see what we are doing with the sub and amplifier from Retrosound coming out later today!

The condition of the original speaker is above what I had expected. I didn’t get to mine yet. It took you like 1 minute to get the radio out?

It has really held up! The cone was super fragile though. I'd say about 10 minutes because I was having to figure it out as I went. But pull the speaker, remove the metal brace on the back, and then pull/unscrew the knobs and it is really to pull out.
