One of the first game shows I remember watching: the original run with Wesley Eure as host. I like here that they use the house and music from the Toffler run of the US show.

Ok So this is earlier reality TV. It is, and I'm totally intrigued. People actually don't change do they? Herein we have rivalry, hierarchy, humour, you do the rest and it is intriguing

I think Dramarama had a lot of unsettling episodes. It was like A Tales of the Unexpected for kids. I think I remember this one, and it was weird and dark. Also recall another episode with a couple who live in a block of flats, and are being stalked by doppelgängers. Not sure if was this series.

My first concert, less than a week after this video was recorded, was The Fixx. It was held at a Utah ski resort, and the crowd was drunken and rowdy. The band was continuously pelted with glass mini bottles, and Cy Curnin said into the microphone "YOU'RE ALL ACTING LIKE A BUNCH OF FOCKING ANIMALS. IF YOU DON'T SETTLE DOWN, SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HUURRRRT." Which, naturally, caused the "focking animals" to cheer and throw more crap on stage. Which, naturally, caused The Fixx to cut their set short by a few songs. It was a crappy ending to a show I was really enjoying. Thanks for ruining my first concert, focking animals.

Oh WOW fancy having The Fixx live in your living room? They sound amazing! Charlie Barrett on bass over on the left too! BUT who's that effeminate little dude to Cy's right in the girly shorts?

The Fixx are no doubt a solid Band of that era. Even now, their music still resonates.

It's a young (and very beautiful) Gabby Roslin, before she joined Chris Evans in bed for a Big Breakfast. So...if No. 73 and Motormouth were made in Maidstone, who made Ghost Train? (& has anyone got any full episodes of that?)

Those closing shots ; crane hoisting the banana up high ..and not a hard hat or hi viz in sight! Do something like that and the risk assessment, condoning off etc would probably take a month's worth of the production budget and a year to clear! 😅

This was made in 2003, and the endcap still uses the old Disney Channel wordmark from 1997, despite the changeover of its ident package designed by CA Square and the 4-note signature theme composed by Alex Lasarenko of Tonal Sound.

Forgotten gameshow, and even editions that can be uploaded to here, Disney Enterprises isn't too fussed on Worldwise so no copyright claims from them.

Isn't it strange that an Irish presenter hosted a game show that was only broadcasted in South England?

TVS punched well above their weight for a minor company in the ITV Network. They clearly had ambitions to join the so-called Big Five. It was a great shame they lost their franchise. Meridian weren’t nearly as productive or successful in programme making. The irony is Meridian’s advertising revenues in 1993 demonstrated TVS would have afforded its huge financial commitment in its bid, even though the ITC decided it wouldn’t and therefore couldn’t keep the franchise.
