The lovely thing about the original How is how often they referred to old books. When I used to watch it I got the message that there were really interesting things hidden in old books.

I had a smaller version of the gnome book Fred shows us and a , Teeny Tiny Gnome Tomes book , I loved it think it was this episode of How that got me into gnomes.

I wonder if any of the early episodes still exist........ introduction music was slightly different...The closing they always got wrong saying HOW with timing Excellent 👍 program

This was absolutely dire. Dineage was even more insufferably irritating than usual and Marian Davies (a kind of Bunty/Vordy amalgam) was little better. Weak, trivial content for the most part … clearly running out of ideas. 👎
