MISLEADING TITLE. ALMOST CLICKBAIT. Delves more into the Goldman's Sound healing rather than the bee's actual potential...

If there's intelligent life out there, they pass Earth with the interstellar equivalent of keeping your car's windows up and doors locked. As long as we still have war, bigotry and capitalism, we are NOT an intelligent species. So far, humans are like an angry, hormonal 12 year-old who's decided they already know everything and should be treated like an adult. We're NOT grown-up yet.

Hell, we've just barely grazed the surface when it comes to possibly being able to communicate with members of other species right here on our own planet which might possess some degree of self-awareness (such as Koko the gorilla). Since we're still struggling to communicate with them -- even though they all evolved on this planet and most of them are mammals much like us! -- what makes us believe that we might be able to communicate with species which evolved on a completely different planet which as a result potentially might bear very little or no similarity to anything which has ever existed here? It's possible that we wouldn't even be able to recognize another intelligent form as such when we encountered it, let alone find a way to communicate with it, simply because it doesn't exhibit the same physical features or behaviors we typically associate with life forms (intelligent or otherwise). As an example, what if an intelligent life form exists somewhere which is extraordinarily long-lived (surviving for what we define as centuries or even millennia)? It might move so slowly that we don't even really notice that it's moving -- especially if it also doesn't eat often, which means that it must conserve its energy.
