Mine starts with big bubbles. Then it starts boiling out of the funnel vilontly. What does that mean?
@acetechauto714 күн бұрын
That means the coolant is getting too hot if it’s boiling. It can happen because there’s too much air in the system. Sometimes it helps to turn the car off let it sit for 5 minutes then try it again. Also make sure your radiator fans work. Worst case scenario you might have a bad head gasket which would keep causing bubbles. Good luck!
@wessteenrod11 күн бұрын
If it's just straight water,it may just be boiling. Pure water boils at 212,engines regularly can surpass that temperature. If it's doing it with the proper coolant mix,could be head gasket,cracked head or block,bad water pump,or best case...a bad radiator cap that isn't venting.

Got to try this tomorrow man. Changed battery and alternator. New alternator is putting out 14 v at idle but battery not ever receiving more then 12.5v. Even with high rpm. At my wits end with it now. Can't believe this can interfere with the charging but I'm getting the low idle issue. What's to lose. Even if it doesn't cure my problem appreciate you video makers for these tips. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

These don’t have a bleeder valve. It only bleeds through the radiator neck

Why is it required to change that piece of fuel line?
@acetechauto725 күн бұрын
It’s suppose to be a one time use because the fitting is crush to fit so when it’s tightened from the factory it’s already crushed so it might not make a proper seal second time around. Sometimes you can get away with reusing them
@bizzzz25 күн бұрын
@acetechauto7 Thanks for the explanation. I went through 4th class power engineering but do not recall mention of a crush fitting amongst the innumerable fittings and instruments we studied. Are there reasons a tapered compression fitting wouldn't be ideal? Thermal expansion? Thanks again, tackling tomorrow pending parts. 👍

Just fyi I went with an apremium pump $180cdn vs $480cdn for ac delco. Pump seems fine after a week. Looks equal or better to in quality than the delco. Comes in crazy nice packaging with a color brochure with tips such as different ways to release pressure in lines. New crush fitti g fuel line (ac delco) they wanted $80 CAD. I reused the old one and it hasn't leaked yet 👍

@@acetechauto7 I have a question you may be willing to answer. i suspect my timing chain has slipped a tooth and I havent checked. I have a code but it runs fine. I jist wantes to know if you have a trick or tip to move the chain just one or two teeth. I saw my friend do this a couple years ago but dont remember the technique. He used the (24mm) box wrench on the camshaft and not sure the trick but applied a bit of pressure and lined it back up. Is it easier to release the tensioner a little or is there a better way. Thanks my friend
@acetechauto716 күн бұрын
@bizzzz unfortunately it’s off a tooth because the chain is stretched so you will need to replace it. It’s not worth trying to put it back one tooth

Do you suppose it’s that “ROOM” Fuse?
@acetechauto728 күн бұрын
No that won’t be the room fuse as that controls a lot of other things as well that you’d be having issues with if it was that. It’s possible it could be the actual switches itself
@Rhond528 күн бұрын

You might have an issue with the actual door itself that the motor is suppose to turn. You can take the motor back out and see if that’s still there and intact

Great instructional video. I have 2 questions. The engine does not need to be supported by anything, it hangs on the engine mounts?? Do you turn the crankshaft before starting the engine??
@acetechauto7Ай бұрын
Hi thank you for watching. No the engine doesn’t need to be supported as it is held in place by the other engine mounts. The crankshaft you can turn after you take the timing covers off so you can see where to set the marks on the crankshaft and the camshaft sprockets.

You do realize there is no reason to take all the time to rotate the crank to bring marks on either the crank, or two cam sprokets to any given position. Just make some marks any where you want on the crank gear and two cam gears and then make marks on the block to align with the crank and cam gear marks. AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT MOVE either the crank or cam gears just remove the belt and reinstall a new one. On the chance that either of the cam gears do move when you remove the timing belt then you will need to align both the crank gear and cam gears to the proper marks which can be done with the belt off then install the new belt.
@acetechauto7Ай бұрын
Yeah because it takes alot of time to put it at TDC. If anything moves you know you’re suppose to bring it back at TDC and you don’t have to mark anything on the belt when you’re at TDC. It took you more time for you to post on here complaining about it than actually doing it the right way.

My car going well. Starting it is nice. This morning, there was no issue, but later in this day my battery ligt stayed on. I checked internet and I saw alternator issue may the problem. I went to the electrician/technician and connected voltmeter/ampere meter on the battery and we saw the voltage jump 14.3 and decrease to the 13.5 and 12.3 respectively, and it cycles. They didn't check fuses, they didn't check blockage, they said we'll remove the alternator and look inside, after that we can say something about the issue 😂 I needed to go another city for funeral ceremony, so I didn't do anything about my issue. Morning, I'll give a try what I can do. If you have some suggestions, I would like to know, thank you ❤😂

To support the engine you can use a Jack under the oil pan with a piece of 2x4 in between the Jack and the pan to prevent causing any damage.
