Zombify is neat and all, but for maximum Carnosaur carnage, I recommend Illicit Masquerade and a cheap/free creature-sacrifice outlet like Immerstrom Predator. Basically, you cast illicit masquerade with a few cheap creatures on the board when you have a way to destroy all/most of them (ideally in response to a Sunfall or or mass-bounce, or to take advantage of a destroy-all board wipe or even a mass-chump-block situation), then hold priority while you use each death trigger to bring back Carnosaur, then sac it and bring it back with the next death trigger to Discover 5 for each creature that died with the imposter counter from Masquerade. If there are any creatures you don't want exiled, just make sure that their death trigger doesn't reach the top of the stack until one of the other triggers has revived it (it can't be exiled from the graveyard if it isn't in the graveyard). Most disgusting of all is you can potentially bounce Illicit Masquerade back to your hand to do it all again if you somehow haven't won yet. Mardu is probably the best color combo for it, as you have access to both Bartolome (WB) and Immerstrom Pred (RB), which AFAIK are the only instant-speed free sac outlets in standard rn, and you can bounce back the Masquerade with Pixie.

I've been playing different kinds of Illicit Masquerade decks the past few days and it honestly feels clunky. You need to go wide first and have a lot of the good cards already in the graveyard to get good value from the recursion, especially if using the trick to bypass the exile effect. Masquerade is also expensive for bouncing and re-casting.

Bitter Reunion is a fun addition to this deck, when you Rebirth the red Overlord and then give them haste its just 16 damage right away, and additional 6 from the combat.

I have a 4 color (aka Uless) legends and today I managed to topdeck a rakdos joins bringing etali (and djeru and hazoret but I didn't make it into attackers xD) that found etali that found another etali that found rakdos join up that got 2 etali back (so lot of triggers. They died from rackdos joins up pings xD). Anyways it was pretty fun (especially since I was at 1 life xD)

I am also a simic tempo enjoyer and you are absolutely right. Bushwack is really the only actual solution and it requires that one of your threats stuck to the board long enough for a sorcery speed card, which… y’know, against black, good luck lmao

@ even that also two for ones yourself because Shelly has death touch and kills your crab in the fight. Bushwack is designed to clear small blockers after flashing in your crab to tap down their big things. Shelly also punishes you badly for digging into your deck to find answers, you really have to bounce your own beanstalks, sometimes two of them, to not kill yoursef. It’s all bad.
