Blue splash totally worth imo. This town does a lot of work, Mockingbird gives you any one of your favourite critters and also it's a flier now, and that blue spell is a very nice tech and as you say it beats some of the most common removal in the format while also having some key synergy with your toxic wincons. Nasty work.

I’m a dirty infect player. I run Bant, close to this list, but without the Fang. Fleeting Reflection is my spicy tech. It gets you two Rotpriest triggers, protects your Rotpriest, AND it copies your Rotpriest! Paired with a Rotpriest on the field and another trick in your hand, it’s basically GG. The worst part about this list is fast enough and reliable mana.

I've actually ground up to Platinum doing Selys toxic in Bo1. It's pretty aggressive but also uses Innkeeper's Talent and Ajani, Sleeper Agent as alternate wincons.

I do it abzan. Turn 1 skrelv, turn 2 duelist, turn 3 rotpriest + the black enchantmente that gives +2 toxic on the duelist... then skrelv the duelist. 9 poison turn 3. For flying I use the 2 cost white enchantment with flash that also draws one.

the dimir zero-creature control version of toxic that popped up a few months back is still doing pretty well for me on ladder, not sure how well it would do these days in bo3 but in bo1 a lot of opponents get caught off-guard and dont know how to play against it

Interesting! I just built Selesnya Toxic with Enduring Innocence, Raise the Past, and the new Divine Resilience (unlimited targets, but not nearly as good as March) - gonna slot in some Annex and Sheltered, and steal some ideas from this sideboard!

I always played simic toxic back when kamigawa was in standard, and it was a beast. I think to make simic work now, you’d have to really go hard on the rotpriest for max value, but I think on the flip side it plays a lot like a tempo or control deck, which has its benefits. Against pixie and oculus, simic I think would work great; against monored and boros though it might be tough.

Black has alot of instant and sorcery cards that also gives 1 or 2 poison counters. And when you manage to give you opponent 5-6 poison count at round 3 they tend to give up😂 Black/Green is my go to for poison. But now I am thinking of maybe try Black/Green/White.

I feel like the problème with poison counters is that they cannot be interacted with. Life can be gained, making matchups against fast decks fair because you can interact with their game plan not only by killing their threats but also gaining life. Poison on the other hand is just there... if only there where sideboard cards to remove counters from players, or other effects to completely shut down poisons like rest in peace shuts down graveyards... but no wotc just loooves poison so much

Because I imagine they Sentry is in that spot, and this is a combo deck that wants to basically close a game out in 2 or 3 swings really, that card is more for the straight forward toxic beats deck, and also doesn't really fit with the more control dimir version.

Boomer here: you can put Jovi in D tier if you want. It IS repetitive. Same reason a lot of people don't like Lord of the Rings books. The story is amazing, but it really drags on with pointless shit, too. The thing is, Ash said there's something of value in there, and that's all we ask as Boomers. Put it in D and say "it's not for me fam but ay it really turn those white folk".

yea poison is back i keep running into it. this is why i quit using it the 3 colors needed for land kept screwing me over. what makes this deck bad is the zero level of extra draw and for the love of what ever higher deity you believe in CLICK and REACT FASTER. if it's not the opponent it's you guys doing these videos
