I noticed that The Kneady Homesteader uses granulated garlic and granulated onion but you used garlic and onion powder. Were you happy with the results using those?

Lately there seem to be more "issues" with my WM orders too, but, they are quick to issue credits for those missing items- and fairly often I get something that I didn't order...things happen.

I may have to get some of those dressing cups! I have some of the reusable ones, but they're so small that they don't do well in the dish washer, which means they have to be hand washed. AND even if you remember to bring it home the same day, it still stinks 🤢

My son talked me into using grocery delivery service after a fall I took in June last year that injured my right knee and ankle. The service has been a huge help to me for the most part. I'm using Safeway Fresh pass delivery here. It was great the first 3 months, but for the past 3, every order has had issues that had me driving to the store anyway. In order to get the same price benefits, I need to ask the cashier for them and watch to be sure the savings are applied. I'm not sure why, but it feels like a switch was flipped after that 3rd month using this service. I'm hoping that's not the case, but if it continues, I may be forced to cancel. Having to go to the store anyway to get what I didn't get in my order or replace rotten produce... It's not exactly a happy moment and I cant always drivey😢🎉. It has been a big help when they get the order right and has paid for itself and has given me added savings, too. Groceries are pretty high here in NW Oregon, and it's gotten harder and harder to save money as companies merge. Grocery stores offer the best prices for those using delivery.

My worst WM grocery pickup was when they omitted 12 jars of food items that were going to be a (12 item) gift, and then charged me for it.

Im glad they extended delivery to 30 miles! I'm in rural Kentucky as well.

We grill chicken at the beginning of the week and slice and use that for lunch meat. It is super tasty on sandwiches and we have enjoyed having cooked chicken for whatever. I bet the rotisserie chicken would be tasty on sandwiches too. Stinks when you make a plan and that is the items they leave out but nice bonus to be under budget as a result.

Sorry if I missed it but what happens with the ground meat? Do they charge you for it? I’m assuming it can’t be returned? Do you let them know or they just automatically say “enjoy”. Also, how do you determine how much of a tip to give? Is it a standard percentage? Is the driver a Walmart employee? Is there a food cost up charge if you choose delivery? Seems like such a nice service, I’m so curious. lol

My mom boiled and salted cut up potatoes. She sauteed separately yellow onions in butter until soft.. When the potatoes were done, they were drained and my mom combined the buttered fried onions in the pan with the potatoes. She added milk to cover the potatoes and put in the onions. A large dollop of butter and salt and pepper to taste. Heat soup until hot and then eat it.
