But I think it will definitely reach a billion dollars in the box office because Superman is an iconic superhero. Teen Titans has some sort of identity set up amongst people so it would be hard to direct and have some creative liberties on that IP. Creature Commandos on the other hand, is extremely unpopular and they didn't mess it up on top of that. The show is actually good. For Superman, we have a lot of haters for the Snyder films since he didn't really understand him very well; and it would be easier for James Gunn to do justice to Superman's character. For Batman, he has Christopher Nolan movies to live up to and that sounds like a big risk to take. He is also trying to shed some light on unpopular characters more apparently to get comic book fans' attention. Basically, he is just playing safe; although some they may seem moderate at best, none of them look like a bad portrayal imo which is what matters in the end.

I am just getting into reading up on black superheroes starting with black panther along with some issues involving Monica rambeau and Blue marvel and Monica actually were a couple. They should honestly just give Blue marvel a couple of solo series so we can build up that relationship a bit more.

I appreciate James Gunn's approach to the archetype of a ragtag group of misfits in comic book adaptations, as this is where he truly excels. Both "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Suicide Squad" showcase flawed individuals who learn to navigate life together despite the world's tendency to dismiss them for being different-characters like Rocket, Quill, and Ratcatcher. However, I do find that his humor can be pretty subjective; many moments intended to be funny don't always resonate with me. Regarding the portrayal of the Nazi element, I don't think it's merely a joke. It's a defining characteristic of G.I. Robot and serves a significant purpose. After watching the third episode, I see this aspect as a nostalgic release for him, taking him back to a time when he felt a sense of joy with companions-even if that perspective is somewhat sociopathic, lol. The "wassup" part shows how they are trying too hard to fit in with American slang despite being foreign. I found that scene where they act like they will execute Flag just because he bowed the wrong way to be hilarious. While it's not peak comedy, it does serve a narrative purpose. While having a finished script for all projects would be nice, it's not unheard of. However, I agree with not making the DCU the Gunnverse. Marvel was great because its heroes from unique worlds came together to form The Avengers. Their diverse characteristics, motives, and backgrounds make their interactions enjoyable. Unfortunately, I feel Marvel has lost that touch, with many of its projects now feeling tonally similar. One commentator I follow, Braeden Alberti, who I don’t always agree with, made a good point about "Thor: Ragnarok" feeling like a rip-off of "Guardians." The same can be said for "Quantumania." When every Marvel character becomes another quippy, funny guy, it leads to a sense of staleness and lack of uniqueness. Take Edgar Wright, the original director of "Ant-Man," who was let go from the project because his directorial style didn't align with Marvel's status quo. Everyone loves Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, so they decided to tie Spider-Man's character back to Tony Stark with advanced A.I. nano suits and themes reminiscent of an Iron Man film. The same goes for humor; they tend to interject it into every single one of their projects. I hope a Superman movie is nothing like a Batman movie. ✔️ Also, LeBron is a crybaby. My friend, as some one who has RAILED against race swapping/gender swapping, I HOPE HOPe HOPE that we see and Icon and Rocket project, a Blue Marvel Project, a Static Shock Project, a Sunfire (Japanese Mutant) project, etc. I think representation and diversity can be GREAT for the hobby and fans if the source materials are respected and they can really focus on the essence of the these stories.

i know i this is long so what im mainly saying is this show along with suicide squad and peacemaker are just foundation for the new universe and SUPERMAN is the real start i dont agree with most things you said but i agree this show does seem like a weird start, but really considering whats canon, the real start is the suicide squad and peacemaker, which isnt better, but just consoder these shows as a foundation and just to set everything straight in the reboot, since gunn had to come in mod dceu, take out the trash and build on what audiences liked, which were clearly the stuff he made, the suicide squad and peacemaker and very very good media imo, way better than what the mcu has been pushing out lately. and since it isnt a hard reboot since hes keeping some characters, he has to let us understand whats here to stay, **but the real start of the universe is superman which comes out next year, and he has said that this universe wouldnt be like marvel where you have to watch every piece of content to understand whats going on so yeah general audiences dont need to watch this in order to enjoy superman and batman and the other more mainstream movies. Personally as a consumer i feel some black superheroes are just cooler when they are superheroes and not "Black" Superheroes but on top of that black people look at certain black superheroes and feel that if they function out of a certain expectation of blackness they are failing Like storm in the comics has way more enjoyable stories on her own out of the xmen but like specifically not connected with black panther. She like divorced him and got a huge glow up. A Comic with doctor doom. the avengers. went back to the xmen and was basically like superman for them. She really had this aura and they built her to be like capable and powerfull and relevent.....Now she is with the avengers characters like Thor left the avengers and asked storm to take his place Another character BlueMarvel he is really good and has an insane diverse cast bro is like buddies with galactus mom has all these crazy cast members around him. Good video, very well articulated and cordial considering the topic (I really like that you didnt come at this from whatever political perspective you hold to, that's rather refreshing actually). I think the main issue comes down to funding of already existing and original Black IP's. Consider that American superhero comics was an endeavor of immigrants and their early stories reflected themselves, we see the same thing with French comics and of course manga to an extent represents Japanese culture. The point is these pieces of media shows the cultures of these people's and they invested in the media that we now consume. We should be learning from them, not shunning reading as a culture but embracing it. There's so many black characters in comics that are beloved like Static but just dont receive as much of a spotlight becsuse the market according to the executives just isnt there for it among black folk but I know black folk are hungry for cool characters they can relate to and they do exist in the indie scene but the problem is lack of investment among black folk. Well off black creators be they producers, actors, businessmen, community leaders, musicians etc could come together, scout up and coming creaters who have cool ideas and create original black characters. What's stopping Jay Z or Tyler Perry from starting their own animation studio and creating a few animated series based around main characters who are black? Investing in the talent that is coming up in the media scene. I know a bunch of creators some not even black but have main characters who are black who have their own stories they want to tell but they either dont have the connections into the industry or there's just no funding. Next we need diversity of characterization, we need to reflect more than one way to be black, a more rough around the edges character should be counterbalanced by a nerdy character, we should see strong black characters and very weak ones also we need to get over whatever hang ups we might have about showing the dark apsects of our culture as that's the only way we'll be able to depict villains who are compelling and create a narrative foil for our main characters. Basically we need a overhaul of the culture, no more begging for a seat with others but creating our own table that from time to time we collaborate with others and we as black folk need to come to an understanding that we are all different although we share an ethnicity and that it's fine if one likes music or comics or anime. Learn to just tolerate one another and who knows once we do this we could see productivity increase and have our own media compete with establishment characters.

Ehh I dont agree black panther was watched not just because “normies just wanted to watch a black movie” although that might be true a lot of comic readers really like the character Black Panther if you just search up audience reactions to Civil War a lot of people were really happy when he came on screen lol also if you look at the Marvel logo while watching some recent movies you will see Black Panther at the ending bringing everything into an end when the logo stops showing the characters. Nice evaluation i think you got alot of the main issues with blue lock at the moment, Ive caught up with the manga and i can completely say i agree with you the anime definitely feels like and aura off in season 2 and it sure has not displayed the mangas true detail of the games. I think you should watch ao ashi - also a soccer/football anime -, it has consistent animation, it has a more similar feel to haikyuu, you should totally watch it, it got overshadowed by blue lock as they came out at similar times, but i guarantee you will not regret it!!! (it also has alot of the things you were mentioning that you wanted to see in blue lock)
