You completely missed the point of the Boondocks, there is a difference between pointing out the flaws in our community in a patient and introspective way and just doing a montage of goofy references to stereotypes.
@G33kyBoy9 ай бұрын
I didn't miss anything. You say a montage because its a TRAILER. Boondocks did the exact same thing. You see how people are now all of a sudden acting like they never had a problem with boondocks? That show was filled with stereotypes. As I said in my video, it is different but we're not gonna act like the stereotypes werent shown. If the problem is "black people are looked at in a bad light" then it doesn't matter what way its shown. Thanks for watching!

@@G33kyBoy Again, there is a difference. No one is just annoyed because stereotypes are being presented, they are annoyed because unlike the Boondocks that addressed the stereotypes and called them out this trailer just pointed at different stereotypes as if to say "just laugh, don't think." It's the difference between comedies like JOJO Rabbit which took the time to both joke about Nazi Germany but also give the importance of why the jokes are being made and Disaster Movie that just tossed tropes at you looking for a cheap reference laugh.
@G33kyBoy9 ай бұрын
And AGAIN people WERE annoyed that the stereotypes were present. You tell me what was the lesson learned from the itis episode? Tell me what was to learn with the Gangstalicious episode? Yall pick and choose when something is good and when something isn't. Which is the main point of my video. There are many shows that have done the same thing this show will do. Why are you so pressed?

They shouldn't have nevered made it in the first place

I think the show itself will be a funny concept, BUT as far as a "Good times" current rendition it falls flat based on the trailer. Thanks for watching!

@G33kyBoy I don't need to know. That is what a trailer is. If you love it, good You are the minority Not my problem
@G33kyBoy9 ай бұрын
Okay?? I didn't say it was "your problem" all I said is you can't speak for the whole black community. You hate a show that you haven't watched. Not being interested is fine, but your opinion on if the show is good or not having not seen it is invalid.

@@G33kyBoythat’s what they want to do is to group Black people together even if ur half Black like myself. It’s hilarious and stupid when some Black people talk and think all Black people think the same way or we should be on the same side just because of our skin color
@dialoguealways39809 ай бұрын
@@G33kyBoyYour misunderstanding of basic English doesn't make him wrong. He said "all black communities hate this show," which is true because the overall outlook by all groups is that it puts a negative light on the black community without even being funny. That isn't the same as saying every black person hates something.

Ehhh I disagree. The struggle is different for various people. People do struggle all over the world, and there are people who do struggle in America. My "struggle" is different from yours and vice versa. Thanks for watching!

Watch the trailer, not even a minute and it’s just wrong. Like the jokes are trying to be up to 2024 but they have made them wrong in so many ways
@Mord12gp9 ай бұрын
It's like if someone made a generic show about "black people." Its like a show that'd be watched on another show.

They have made them wrong how? Can we not be joked about too? Thanks for watching!

@@G33kyBoy all they do is play off of stereotypes, in a quick paced family guy way, no type of metaphor, no type of underlying meaning or even any type of build up to a joke, just straight ignorance. Reminds me of all those shows like Brickleberry or Paradise PD, just family guy rip offs.

Exactly!!! Like I said the only problem is that they named this show "good times" when this trailer is nothing like the show from back then. The show looks funny. Sometimes we have to make fun of ourselves without feeling insecure of how others will look. I will be watching and laughing. Thanks for watching!
